Almeida is still at Porto and tbh doesn't really look as if he'd be up for United in this game, but would be ideal for a lower prem team.

I think i'm gonna enquire about both Fred and Vitti to see how much i can get them for, but i think i'll be more inclined to get Vitti purely because of his awesome stats. Will his Teamwork and Work Rate have a big effect at all? Considering i want him as a lone out-and-out striker?

Fred is an amazing player, but Makinwa is one of those guys I've always wanted to buy and never did. I think for the 25M less that you'd spend on Makinwa as opposed to Fred, it might be worth going for the Nigerian.
well Chelsea are being complete arses about any of their players that i bid for any of their players and always negotiate and offer a deal involving a part-exchange with Doucet (who i'm not willing to sell). No matter what offer i make, it'll come back with "Chelsea want David Doucet in exchange..."

I will agree statwise not as impressive as other top striker but imo he is one of the best in the game. Scores for fun. Is he still at Fiorentina or did he get snapped up by a big team?

He's touted as the next Luca Toni, as is now seen as "clinical striker" for me.
Like you, I play him as lone striker in a 4-3-3 or a main striker in a 4-4-2 diamond.
This is his first season.
By the way, Delgado doesn't work that well in EPL. His 5 strength and poor heading stats means he'll find it hard in terms of the aerial battle. He will get you assists though.

Corvia is in Spurs' Reserves in my game and his stats don't look half as impressive as in your game, 17 for finishing is probably his best.
Besagno looks like he's gonna become a true legend in my game too...
Vitti signing confirmed for January. Things are starting to get back on track now (15 goals in last 4 games), as long as i play anyone but Rooney upfront; Defoe has been playing great as a lone striker, i tried Baptista there too and he didn't look too bad, and Ruud is still banging in the goals

No, don't sell Rooney. He's arguably one of the best 5 players in the entire world by 2009, 2010.
You should change your formation and create a team around him. If you have a sound defence and a good DM, you can go ahead and play 442 diamond, where you will create loads of chances.

Vitti? He was the worst out of the players you listed IMO. He doesnt have good mental stats. (8 for determination is a really bad thing) He isnt quite top club material IMO
