I like Kappa usually, though I don't know how many national teams they sponsor ...
Well, they make the Wales kit, thankfully the new home kit is one of the best we've had since the 2002 kit. Not sure who else they make kits for, Slovenia now with Nike, think a number of African clubs wore Kappa but moved on to other brands.

wow, that was easy..

"-hey guys we haven't done the turkey away kit yet..
-oh yeah that's right, meh we'll just throw 'em somethin like this.."

..isnt much easier than throwing away a full white jersey like the previous one, though

When did Turkey start to wear red as the home kit? Must have been only recently, for many years the kit was white with a red band in the middle (and the away was the inverse). (:/)

That's right.

I think until 1994 they had this classic design with the band in the middle. And they had 2 shirts, red one and white one, there was no differentiation, no home or away shirt.

Did they switch this year? I haven't seen the Burkinabé play since some time last year, and I know they were wearing Kappa then ...

So it's just Wales for Kappa, is it?
Yeah well Burkina Faso switched to Airness in October 2006, so it's just Wales wearing Kappa at international level now. I wish the FAW would find another supplier, their marketing of the national kit is utter sh*te, like the new kit, wore it last month but won't be releasing it for another four months! :kader:

don't mean to offend you mate, but is there that much demand in Wales that Kappa ought to be clamoring to get the shirts into stores right away? I mean the team's performances aren't doing the nation's pride any good; and haven't done for a while now -- 50 years or summat?
There is a lot of demand for the new kit, but not releasing it until March means that many people (especially children) cannot get the shirt for Christmas, an ideal cashing-in opportunity missed by the FAW. The old kit is still in the shops for sale at knock-down prices, but who wants old merchandise?

We've dropped a bit on the pitch but I wouldn't say we've not done good for 50 years at all..... yes we haven't been in a major tournament since the 1958 World Cup but since then we've had many near misses (we won our group for Euro 76 but this was before the 8 team finals format). It's only in the last 3 years that we've slumped but still nowhere near the dark days of the mid-to-late 90's when we were a laughing stock.

Anyway I found out that the FAW have in fact signed a four year sponsorship deal with JJB Sports worth £2.5m. It was reported on the South Wales Echo that the eight year deal with Kappa had ended. But there's some conflict to this which once again proves how good FAW's PR is...... some sources say that Kappa ARE still making the kit, and some say that due to the JJB deal the kit will be made by another company.

Kappa not making sure they have a presence at the EURO is just stupid ... if nothing else, they could have at least tried to nail one of the Puma sides, and could have saved us from all that ugly monotoneity in store ...
Yeah, Puma are so unimaginative with the variation in their kits - I know the likes of Adidas and Nike have been like that as well but not to the same extent as Puma, who have even gone with "one template for home, one for away" this coming year :S

but that USA away ... dark navy? again? ... now look, I'm all for tradition and the like with home kits, but the away kits can be a bit more adventurous ...
adidas already took care of adventurous years ago:

No more, please.

Ahh yes, Alexi Lalas and that goatee he had back then (H)

I remember those USA kits very well, the away shirt blended in well with a pair of jeans, but with red shorts they were a no-no..... and the less said about the home shirt the better. Only the Nigerian away kit at WC94 was worse than that!
