Just found a terrible bug which has ruined the whole game for me...

When you're on a clean breakaway, just one on one with the keeper all you have to do is keep sprinting and angle right or left. For some unknown reason the keeper freezes and you have an easy tap in. Works 100% of the time.

This move doesn't work IRL or PES3 as all the keeper has to do is track backwards to cut off the angle.

This only works when the keeper charges out at you so if there are any defenders in the box, he hangs back thus eliminating your chance to run past him.


I hope Konami can patch this but I'm doubtful,

When I read I get the feeling you think it's the keepers fault if a player "rounds" or dribble the keeper?

Yeah, I found this aswell, it is so annoying because as soon as you take it into a tight angle, it's always 100% of the time a goal.

Well it's not so much dribbling around him, it's just running past him making him look like an ass.

No keeper IRL would let this happen so easily, and it doesn't occur in PES3.

I was just wondering that does the xbox and ps2 versions have that old "goalie freeze" bug? Or is it just in PC version of the game? I'm asking this because I'm thinking of getting an xbox, and PES4 for that.

yeah i noticed that bug too it's pretty lame.

keepers were better before... oh well. they should have just made them not jump half the time when the shot is directly into the far corner or something.

now the keepers are just retarded and let lotsa easy goals in.

Yeah, but sometimes they can be phenomenal. Like in last game that I played with Newcastle in my ML-game, I had to put Harper (was it Harper?) on the net 'cause Given was tired. Harper made many fantastic saves, and I was surprised. He kept the sheet clean, and Given haven't done that in about 6 games he has played.

So the keepers work better in sometimes, but sometimes when they're just left standing like an idiots, it doesn't look so nice. And I think that it's a bit harder to score in 1 on 1 with the goalie.

So anyone who has played PS2 or XBOX version of the game...is this standing bug in those versions also?

I prefer playing League than Master League........Because I edited every keeper in the game to be Phenomenal............They make less mistakes and actually dive...........All the stats u edit dont carry on to ML

Hopefully next year they will have CL and FA cup in LEague mode.......I think it would still be different than master league.......

What yall think???????

I'm not talking about the previously mentioned "standing" bug on long shots.

This bug occurs when you have a clean breakaway on the goalie, if you execute it correctly you can score 100% of the time.

I think I can live with it but it sure takes the suspense out of a breakaway.

first , it also happened on pes3 , it was my way of dealing with breakaways since we2002

also , you are right , it takes the suspense out of a breakaway ....

... as in real life also does !!! wonder why dont coachs tell the defenders .. " ohh , dont bother marking , just let the keeper do a one on one with them !!"

How about you edit every keeper and give them the STAR ability for 1 vs 1..........This might fix your problem if it really bothers u much.........maybe

i just dont know how one aspect of the game ruines your whole game !!

and even when that aspect is correct in real life !

its very rare , if almost never a goalkicker can defend a 1vs1 that tries to round him.

either the forward makes it or the keeper makes a foul

and.. there's a trick..oooollllddd trick... and I guess PES4 givin the 'The trick owners' the best installment this year becuz' ussually the GK are automatically saving or try to save in previous version.

Try to watch real life GK beat an opponent in 1v1.
Get close (PRESS triangle), when they are start to turn u go bakwards (release triangle) a lil bit, n when they r starting to shoot, GUESS the RIGHT DIRECTION OF THE BALL n then TAP (not press) TRIANGLE WITH THE SAME DIRECTION ur opponent pressing when he is shootin', WITH a Logically possible distance between yours GK n the shooter n with the right timing (about to shot) U WILL BLOCK the BALL Beautifully....

Im fanatics of possession attacking football when playing all series of WE/PES w/ 4-3-3Attack form. SO this circumstances isn't rare for me... yaiyy (I like to see ppl gettin frustated scoring at me n they just dont know the trick and said that the console is cheating to my favour and said that I was very lucky...hehe damn looser always had reasons,why dont they adopt n innovate??)

the "standing" bug is really bad...
when i shot the ball which goes wide or hit the post, the goalie doesnt move at all! even if the ball hits the post and then goes into the net, the goalie just stand there and watch and then he seems want to beat the defenders....:rolleyes:

the goalie does some beautiful saves and is more reallistic but the standing bug is not good

i dont want phenomenal superman saves or retarded goals... i just want normal stuff ;-).
