I just bought a new defender... my record signing and probably my best player :D

Needs training in speed though.

He also needs training in "getting younger" ;). He's a good player, but he'll start deteriorating soon. Well unless u don't train him. Also, since we're on the subject, when does a player retire?

I dont think players ever retire.

I have 28 year olds in my team who arent deteriorating yet so I'm not worried about that.

If he is deteriorating then hes deteriorating. Nothing I can do about it really. But Ive never been that unlucky before *touch wood*

Well I've just found out that a player never retires as long as he's not discarded. And it's general knowledge that if a player isn't trained he doesn't deteriorate. Phippard has seen a 39 year old play :o

deteriations i wudn't care about them jus take them off traing and the don't improve and they don't deteriorate lol
i wa sgonna buy him and he ain't a defender!

Ash, nice buy, saw him on the list earlier. When I saw you had the winning bit, I changed his team name on MZNS so you can update his stats if needed.

I added his midfield rating, he's not bad there either. Best position is defence obviously but he could be a great ball winner in midfielder like Vieira or Keane. Whichever position you play him, I'm sure he'll do well!

Second best English defender, not bad. ;)

I think it's quite likely that crew will change how deteriations work and that a player CAN deteriorate without training

At the moment I'm leaning towards using him as a DM, but if I'm using a formation that doesnt use a DM I'll play him in defence.

This is MANAGERZONE not Championship Manager. Get your facts right. Players don't retire, they just get sacked when you don't think they're good enough to be in your squad anymore...
