NEED HELP from FM2005 GURU's (Look Inside a tons of huge question)

NedPGT

Club Supporter
First of all, sorry cause my bad english, Im from Bosnia, buy living in USA

Last few days I've been testing some things with Paris-SG such as trainings, some positions,
but there is always somebody whos smarter with something
so I just started new season with same club, bought some players, also sold, bought some scouts & coaches, etc etc

SO HERE YOU GO:
----------------------

1. What kind of tactics do you use for these positions:
GK, DR, DL, DC, SW/DC, DMC, MR, ML, MC, AMR, AML, AMC, AMC/FW, SC, FR, FL, FC ?
Eaxmple: DC - marking, etc etc
Note: If you post something, explain it, example if it marking, post is it better to be zonal or marking man

2. Sometimes there's some times that I have players with good ratings and at that moment they have good condition but the thing is they have low morale, such as VERY POOR or POOR
SHOULD I keep play with them for next match
or SHOULD I change them with some other players that plays at same position but they have lower ratings, but they have good condition and VERY GOOD or SUPERB morale ?????

3. On this picture you can see how I did set up for training for my 1st Team, same thing is for Reserves,
also on 2nd picture you can see training set up for Goalkeepers
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/NedPGT/Bezze Stvari/1stTeam.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/NedPGT/Bezze Stvari/Goalkeepers.jpg
What do you think about it? Is it way too much without any rest days, I mean it looks great for now,
I just started new season with Paris-SG and already beat Le havre in friendly mach 6-1 at their stadium,
and Lyon also at their stadim for Champions Trophy Final with 4-1, you can see both pictures below, but against Le Havre I didnt have all those players that I have now
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/NedPGT/Bezze Stvari/vsLeHavre.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/NedPGT/Bezze Stvari/vsLyon1st.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/NedPGT/Bezze Stvari/vsLyon2nd.jpg
Also I have set up with "No training day after match",
- Could it help a little bit cause I dont have any rest days ?
- Plus does that means no training for those players that played match with 45+ minutes ?

4. Here's question for Niko Kranjcar, he is AMC,
I tried to play with him as right winger, and he really sucks, why is that ?
as you can see it he played a few minutes again Lyone and had rating 2, so I had to change him
I have to try to play him on AMC position, but there is V. Tsiartas which is very good at it

5. Where I could see who is NON-EU player in my team ?
I tried to buy few more NON-EU players, but it says I have 4 of them already, which is bad for me, so I have to find whos 4 of these and trade them or sell them if they're not good for my team.

6. Another question for NON-EU PLAYERS, I was searching Manager Forums, and found in CM4 forums this example:
Juventus have 9 non-EU players, and a limit of 9. If they sell a non-EU to a foreign club, they can buy 1 new non-EU from outside Italy. Buying a non-EU player who already plays in Italy will raise the limit, so they would have 9 and a limit of 10. Selling 1 to an Italian club would mean they cannot buy another non-EU player from outside Italy.
It keeps the number of non-EU players in the Italian leagues constant, but non-EU players already in Italy can move around as they like.
Could I do the same thing in FM2005 with French Clubs ???

7. How I can do set-up training for my U-18 Team, do I have to train them to be able to do this or not?

8. Question about tactics, is it goo to set-up those players that have rating 15 or 16 to do same thing with option MIXED or OFTEN........or some other stuff with those ratings, or should I leave them as they came from default ?

9. In a few days I will have to reboot my computer, but I was thinking is it possible to back up needed files before I reboot my system so I could continue my season again ?
Maybe just those files from C:\My Documents\Sports Interactive or should I backup some other files from C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2005 ?????

And here some infos and pics that I have done to the club so far:

On this picture you can see who I have bought in last few days (note: season not started yet):
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/NedPGT/Bezze Stvari/NewPlayers.jpg
I have sold just one player so far, which had to be B. Mendy for 5.6 millions, tried to get 6.2 which is his value, but nobody gave me reasonable offers except this one for 5.6M
Also Im talking to other players, probably there is 10-15 of them, so the ones that could be good for me or the ones that decided to join my team I will buy (including Salihamidzic, Deisler, Mista, M. Heinz, Crespo, Veron, P. Montero, Candela, Lizarazu, Thuram, Lauern, Juninho, etc etc)

Here's the list of my staff that I brought to PSG:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/NedPGT/Bezze Stvari/NewStaff.jpg
Plus Im gonna release few of those that came from default, offcourse if they are not good for me

I appreciate your help
Thanks, Ned

1. I never play 18 players at once. Different formations call for different personal instructions. What would you like them to do? Try instructing them yourself, and ask again if that doesn't work.

2. Giving players with low morale playing time will raise their morale. I would just play them.

3. Way too much. Put in some tactical training, and remove some overloading and 5-a-sides. Give them one day off, and one afternoon.

4. He's an AMC, so he'll be less comfortable playing at AMR or FR. No matter what his stats are. Facing good competition will hurt his performance more.

5. You have to look at their nationality. There should be a list of EU countries in the manual.

6. That was about the foreigners rules in Italy (in FM, not CM4). They don't apply to France.

7. The assistant manager will set them to the 'reserves' schedule if he's in control of training. If you want to give them a seperate schedule, you'll have to do the training yourself. (mostly putting the injured players into recovery schedules/resting)

8. Put them as you want them. The players with high rating will be better in doing whatever you select.

9. Just the ones in C:\My Documents\Sports Interactive\ will do.

Sorry if I say anything Ruud has already said...

1.

Defenders - It all depends on the players. I would start off playing something pretty cautious, dont try playing offside traps or man marking or defending deep until your defenders get to know each other better, and you are comfortable with who you are playing. I always recommend staying on the fence between defneding deep and pushing up, as both is far more risky than just playing in between. I would only recommend man marking when up against a team which has some superb individual stars, but most of the time Zonal Marking is your best bet and I dont recommend making in tight. The offside trap can be very useful though, and definately think about playing it once your defenders get accostomed with each other.

Midfielders - Instructions here pretty much totally depend on the quality of your players. If you have great wingers, play 'Wide' and 'Down Both Flanks', if your central midfielders are the bomb, do the opposite. If they're all pretty much the same, I'd go for wide as more chances seem to be created this way. As for passing, always go with 'Direct' or 'Mixed' unless playing far superior opposition inwhich case go for 'Long'. I would pretty much always recomment direct, however.

I would never recommend Target Men or Playermakers unless you really know what you're doing, more trouble than their worth IMO. ALways set your Penalty and Freekick takers, however, or it will just select any old person.

I would always go for tackling 'hard' - alright you pick up more cards and give away more free kicks but you really do see the benefits as you crunch the opposition to the ground. As for creative freedom, it all depends on how good your team is, but setting it high usually makes the game more fun.

I'll make another post to answer the other questions as this one has already got pretty long.

2. The predominant effect on morale is how many games they play - it's worth giving everyone an occasional run out against inferior opposition to stop this getting too low. Comments from other managers, personal problems, homesickness, tiredness etc all effect morale aswell, but it's a very fickle thing, you cna get a very poor morale up to superb in a few games so dont worry too much about it.

3. Sorry, training is were I really come unstuck so I'm not even gonna try to answer.

4. All depends on their versatility and quality. Frank Lampard is an AMC but I sometimes play him left or right and he does it really well. Always try to make sure the right player is in the right position, but if your stuck, I would suggest Kranjcar in the centre and trying another MC on the right.

5. I think you can show up the nationalities on the Selection Overview screen.

6. I think this is a rule specific to the Italian league, not sure though.

7. I'm guessing you have to take control of the U18s, set up the training, then hand control back. Not sure though, but I wouldnt bother. Your AM will know what he's doing.

8. Not quite sure what you mean here. If you mean, should you set the players to do things they have high stats in, like take free kicks if they have a high free kicks stat or try long shots if they have good long shots stats then you definately should.

9. Save everything in C:\My Documents\Sports Interactive\ to disk and then put them back after you reboot and reinstall.

Control over the team doesn't include training. You are in control over all players' training, unless you tick the "assistant takes control of training" box, at the top of the manager options screen.
