need advice for my tactic...

do you guyz think this will work? i'm tired of my 'leaky' defence in my current tactic. which is a sweeper (runnining to CD) , 2 CD, 2 DMC, LM,CM,RM running up and to FC

anyone thinks this will work? plus my friend whipped me with his 4-4-2, i'm guessing coz i had 3 at the back his wingers had a fun day

Its a very attack minded formation, y not try the 4-4-2 diamond, it works perfect for me. Have your wingers running up.

well my aim is to get a goal difference of 100, coz my friend had a GD of 98, so i wanna beat him! my current formation makes me concede a bit too many goals and i dont ever score more than 100.

think i'll still score lotsa goals if i dont make the def run up?

Ok, no problem.

On the topic: Indeed, keep the full backs back. You can have them running with the ball, but position changes will make for a lot of space for counter attacks over the wings.

you have your mc moving into the FC postition and because your wingers are moving out i would think that it would cause this big gap in the centre of midfield.
You could possibly change it so it moves from MC to AMC

Stop The Full Backs from running up and Make ure Midfielders proper ML and MR running into AML and AMR. Well thats what i think anyway.

If you want youre fullbacks to attack set the mentality to Attacking or Gung Ho and ull find them attacking up the pitch a bit

ok i used a diff tactic, too lazy to load CM now tho, but its

DML
DMR
3 MC making the same runs as the one above
2 FC

i tested it out on my old save game (autosave off) and went on holiday. i already won 8/8 league games when the game was loaded. i won the double, lost in the semi's of the champions league. i score 99 goals, conceded under 20, adn the AI made some dumb subs on my behalf. plus i set 'use current lineup' but i left out my 1st choice goalie and henry, coz i rested them for the my last game b4 going on holiday but i'm eager to start a new game now with this new tactic, i just wanna find out that file u add to extend the Database so that it keeps certain players in, i'd like to have ppl like Dagoberto etc available on medium DB

YAY :P

and i got 100 points, to round off a good season, i got 90m pounds to spend in the new season. but i dont need any players. i'm just gonna get a bunch of promising youth players.

here's my lineup, plus the rest of my 1st team squad.

i made heitinga and sneijder slightly better, as CM has them quite underated, as well as Robin van Persie and a host of other youngters.

de martino is good in most of my games and cerci... well... everyone knows him.

i alternate between pennant and kaka on the right side and sneijder/van der vaart on the left. van der vaart's average was 8.57 after 12 games or so then he got a serious injury so i sent him for surgery. was out the rest of the season.

here's my past league finishes. only the most recent season was played using the above tactic, the others used my old tactic, which wasn't too shabby either.

Almost as good as me. Except for the first season. Quite a nice team you got there with Milan too, i'm pleased. But i always played a 4-1-3-2 with wingers.

i always scrape through the 1st season. i choose to sell inzaghi, rivaldo and ambrosini and get 1 or 2 good other players instead. that pays off in the 2nd season tho, when i get those free signings (henry, bonera, etc) and the young ones i buy mature.

I sold Inzaghi, Tomasson, Ambrosini, Simic, all in the first season. Got Dagoberto on a free, Zonneveld, Martinez, Bellion and Cesar Delgado. I never managed to get Henry on a free. Although in my 2nd season i got De Rossi, Bonera and Stankovic on a free. Also got Pennant in the 2nd season.
