Ambitious Project. To mod the compdata is very straight forward and not easy. One wrong string and the game crash. That´s what I heard about, I have no experience with that by myself. But I will watch your thread to learn. :D

Will you use the EA IDs? They exist for all national teams except Gibraltar & South Sudan.

I using the FUT Teams ID for Example 113296 , because I can add the home and Keeper Kit. unless the game allows you to upload costumes, eg for ID 1319 and those hidden, then I will change it

I'm creating a mod with some national teams instead of the women's teams and the rest of the world, for those who like to play with national teams it's cool.
I added 32 more selections and intend to increase soon.

Only problem is that I don't know how to change compdata and make the world cup playable outside of career mode.

It’s frustrating FIFA22 reduced so many national teams. What is more frustrating is there still no available compdata editing tool to make mod easier for us. So I prefer wait FIFA23 and hopefully one day there will be advanced tools for compdata editing.

though I know how to use EXCEL to create new tournaments but it is so time consuming and that huge task even effect my own health and I still not 100% recover from illness

it was supposed to be easier
to be honest I don't know how to edit used excel
but I believe it's easier for you to use cm 16
to do this

as I told you, I use the cm16 tool for this
however you have to modify Settings so it can work in cm 16
if no, you can't save
And then you have to edit manual Settings and Tasks
so it works and open the game
