Shit, I forgot that I could potentially win the Copa Libertadores with a Mexican team. I'd still prefer to do it with an Argentinian team though.

^^And yeah, I'd be pissed if I got 1st placed in the league and didn't win the thing.

This is awful. Chivas are the 2nd best team in the league (Well actually first, but they under-performed this year). Terrible draw, I should have lost my last game and I'd play Pachuca.

Wohoo

Skip, if I win the Apertura or Clausura that counts as a title win I can put in my list of achievements right? Because it seems cheap of me, seeing as I only played half the year. I noticed teams rarely win both titles in 1 year so I guess winning just one is like a big trophy win, but winning both is something historic and rare.

I'm going to face Xolos Tijuana in the finals, they luckily beat America, a team that beat me twice this year. I however beat Xolos in the league... so I'm hoping to win, or else I'll be pretty disappointed.

I must say, I've been pretty lucky in knock-out competitions. Won with Tigres, Canada, and Cameroon against teams around the same level.

Ok so I've taken the biggest risk of my career...

I noticed 17th placed (after 3 games) Pumas fired their manager. I thought nothing of it but then in their fixtures I saw they were playing in the North American champions league quarter finals this year... so I quit Tigres and took that job.

The Pumas team has a better midfield than Tigres but the defense is worse. The quality of the teams are about the same, the only problem is that 3 key Pumas players are leaving on agreed transfers next year, and the team has no money. Meanwhile with Tigres I have 5 good free transfers coming in. So next year Tigres will be a better situation than Pumas but I took the risk knowing that I can cut a year off of my Mexico adventure if I win the Champions League this year...

The problem is if I don't win it I will be screwed.

So the quarter finals were easy as I got a Costa Rican team. Now I'm facing New England which is a favourable draw. The problem will be the final, I'll face the best North American Team: Chivas. Unless this Salvadorian team beats them.

Won 4-3 in the return leg with Chivas, which wasn't enough.

And WTF is this shit:

:|

I learned about the rule after the game was over, when I thought it was going to overtime. It's a bummer because I deserved to win both games, but they go through because they are a "higher seed". (N)

I shouldn't have left Tigres. :( I won't get to play in the NACL next year so I'll probably quit Pumas.

Look at that first goal scorer.

Signed this guy for 8mil:

Club update: I took no club job while qualifying for the Euros with Holland. I was waiting for a job with a Mexican team playing in the NACL. I was ready to load up the South African League but then I saw the Monterrey boss steped down. I am managing them now. I am a bit of a bastard tho because they are Tigres' main rivals.

Now time to win the playoffs...

Four of my starters are "travelling" back from international duty for the first match of the first round.
