I don't mean to bitch and whine, but this seems to be taking for ever, and I was just thinking that the FIFA 2003 will be out soon and I know liverpool are part of the top 18 teams, which means they will probably have a stadium made by the EA Team, so if this patch doesn't come out soon, it will be wasted as most people will have transfered over to the next FIFA when this is release. Just saying what I thought and still sitting here with my fingers crossed for this stadium to be out very soon......

quite true. like i said it is my first stadium and i am still learning about the tools and it has taken longer than i thought. and i was thinking myself about there being an anfield in fifa 2003. so what i will do is make it available with about 90% of the clearday version done. it is still very playable on my pc at least but i hold no responsibility should it crash someone elses. to anyone who wants it. e-mail me at

and i will send it as an attachment (about 967 kb) from tomorrow evening. at least then you can play it in 2002 if you want until 2003 comes out. i might be back to do something (and finish it) for 2003. at least then i can get in early on fifa 2003 and get some more practice and get a few things done that have been neglected for a couple of weeks. i fear i began too late with this game.

rhizome, in all probability the stad in 2003 will NEVER be as good as the one as yours, but i dun understand, are u saying that u will be stopping work on it now, and resume when 2003 is out?
i didnt know that but it's really a shame if u cant finish it, mebe the ECP guys can help with the rest? i really hope u wont be away from the fifa scene, ur work is as good as the best in the stad making community even if u've got lots to learn as u've admitted urself.
RealPete, im sure no one wants to play in an uncompleted stadium, quality is still of paramount concern and will always be.
but u've got to realise sometimes with all the 'advertising' and all in the forums, pple's hopes get dashed when after months of waiting,disappointment sets in and i've seen many pple whove given help and support to those editors and months later still have no idea that the whole thing had been scrapped due to one reason or another.
so its only feasible dat those pple give vent to their dashed hopes on the forum(what? u'd rather keep it to urself? fine)
dat doesnt categorically constitute WHINING as u've so eloquently put it urself or even condone it, but hey, shiite happens

I understand where you are coming from. but the way i see it is this. I am not giving into whiners, but rather looking at the situation realistically. Like most of the people who care enough about the game to get involved in the forums, I will be upgrading to fifa 2003 as soon as it comes out. based on previous years, and looking at the capabilities of fifa 2003, i doubt i will play fifa 2002 ever again. as anfield will be in fifa 2003, i don't see the point of working on it myself. you guys have the files, and I urge you to do what you like with them. if you want to use them, go ahead. with fifa 2003 coming soon i certainly won't be doing a season mode with 2002, not that i did much anyway since the season mode is ridiculous and unrealistic. like i said right at the beginning this was a hobby and I would prefer to spend time on something for 2003. i am sure that the stads in fifa 2003 won't be as good as the ones you guys create (just look at your Genk stad), but I don't think that is necessarily the point.
i am sure people would wait for quality, but only if it is useful for the current game. and, thank god, fifa 2002 isn't that current now. but if my Anfield can squeeze a few days more out of 2002, then so be it. If people want to post negative reactions after playing it, then so be it. I am not fussed. I make no claim to it being 'perfect' or 'finished' so people can make their own minds up. I know that I only pretty much play 2002 in friendly mode now, challenging my mate, and that is what i want to focus on until 2003 comes out. I am an open source advocate and if someone can make my stuff better, then good on them and good luck to them. but i want to focus my time on something for 2003. and if you guys use it and release it at a later day, then with all your great ecp work on it then it won't be much of 'my' work anyway. Anfield wants to, and needs to, break free from my grip. and if anyone wants it. they can have it.

Advertising ? The guy was proud of his work and posted for two weeks some excelent screens. Is this a reason to whine whine untill he snaps ?
Keep it for ourselves ?? Scrapping it ? I don't think you can say ECP ever scrapped an announced project ! Sometimes it takes time my friend. Live with it. Editing Fifa is not an easy job and it takes smart people to archieve such things. Those people have real lives and real jobs. If we feel we need to delay something a month, two months we do so !! Simple as that.
Look at the other whine topic about Arsenal. In final testing a problem came in with the crowds. ECP will never release when we feel the project is not 100% ready. If we do so the same whiners start whining about this and that error.
Look at the pro-scene. EA simply delays his demo, release or whatever. They don't care about the small % of whiners here on this forum and they're damn right about it.
