My Chelsea season so far...

i know its not really much of a big woop BUT this is my first serious game on fm 2007 so go easy on my choice as chelsea.

at the beginning of the season with the handsome kitty of about 70 million i decided to strengthen the squad. i bought wesley sneijder for 15.25 mil (damn chelseas rep. for being able to spend big ), next up was the immense striking quality of vincenzo iaquinta from udinese for 13.5 whos repaying me back well already. christian zaccardo soon followed from palermo for 10.25 mil to replace ferreira who im not a fan of on the game or in real life. i had a lot of money left so splashed it on esteban cambiasso who shares an odd likeness to my brother :chick:. hes not done much so far but i havent played him loads really. makelele is still immense.

the two late buys were for the future for sure. aiden mcgeady who i buy because he has my name for 8.25 from celtic and next big thing curtis davies for 8.75 mil neither have played a great deal and are ones for the future so watch this space

I usually have 3 quality ones in my squad, then 1 average one and maybe 1 reserve team/youth back up

Chelsea always buy Luca Toni, Curtis Davies and Andrea Barzagli on my games. Curtis Davies most games but the other two all the bleeding time!

i tried using all three strikers at once but it didnt really work, plus the all got injured at the same time once so i was really struggling.

this is mid season table.

arsenal got loadsa games however and have gone to the top but i have a few games in hand... which i dislike profusely

Vanden Borre is massively overrated by most FM players. He actually isn't really a great defender, definitely not Chelsea level. He has awful concentration, decisions and positioning. This makes him making a lot of mistakes and being out of position all the time. Zaccardo is a way better option.

who said anything about defence? just adapt him to a right midfielder and you'll have yourself a bomb lol but yeah i did mention he should've gone with Borre instead of zaccardo.
