Moving Teams

I have tried to move a club from English league 1 to the championship..no problem. BUT... The team shows in championship if I go to friendly, but in new manager mode the team is still in league 1. Any ideas.

I used creation master, and also edited both time no result.

im not sure but i think you can only change things like that for manager mode, am i right? or is there anyone who can correct me?

You can move teams in manager mode by updating the 'rtsgt' which is located on the table_team-lookup table within the fifa.db. The easiest way for me to do it is by using unidb and access. The rtsgt controls the team schedule. So you need to switch a league championship team with a league 1 team.

Hi, Not sure what you mean by this, but you can move teams from any league in manager mode or the default friendly mode by updating the fifa.db. If you want to change the default, you need to only update the "table_leagueteamlinks". If you want to move the team in the default and in the manager mode, you need to update the "table_leagueteamlinks" and the "table_team_lookup". Sorry if I wasn't clear in my earlier post.

OK, think I'm understanding more now, btw any idea what 'rtsgt' means.

And do I have to change anything in 'move from rtsgt' or 'move to rtsgt' ???

Hi, Not sure what it means, but it is the league/tournament schedules. The easiest thing to do is not update the rtsgt values, but to simply swap the team_id. Example, if you wanted to switch Arsenal with Southend United, change all rows with team_id = 1 (arsenal) with team_id = 1954 (southend) and change the the 1954 rows with team 1. This will move Arsenal to Southend's schedule and will move Southend to Arsenal's schedule. This will also replace the tournament spots (EFA/ECC, ets). So when you start a new manager career, you will have Arsenal in the Championship and Southend in the Premiership. Good luck, hope this was clear.

I am fairly certain that it stands for Region Tournament Stage Group Team, although that is never made explicit anywhere. If you view the values as hexadecimal you can find each element encoded in the value and should be able to spot which entries relate to the same competitions.

Those are used for competitions that have elimination elements, so 'move from' dictates which RTSG entry qualifies to this entry (ie. the previous round, or stage, of a tournament) and 'move to' which RTSG is next.
