Rat or not, I think he's worth considering. Pickford too, but an English purchase feels more like a Liverpool thing to do.

Apparently he has a thunderous and super accurate long-ball clearance; can hoof them right into the opponents box and even find his strikers there, which sounds simultaneously great and so, so un-Guardiola.

I like the Morata rumours. Looks like Real Madrid want 78 million pounds. I don't know why Real Madrid would want to sell him (he played less games than Benzema but still scored more) but it would make sense if they bought Mbappe and the figures that are rumored for Mbappe is 118 million pounds. Crazy money but Mbappe reminds us of a young Brazilian Ronaldo.

I don't know too much about him and don't remember him at the Euros but if he turns out to be almost as good as Bailly (ManU best defender by a mile), it's a good deal.
Smalling is good but wasn't as good as last season. He was more shaky and made a few mistakes. Needs to be more consistent otherwise he will lose his starting place. This season Rojo was surprisingly good in Central defense.

ANy thoughts on Ronaldo? I am sure he is just upset about being accused of tax evasion. He will get over it just like Messi came back from retirement for Argentina.
Unless we can get him for half the price that we sold him for, I think we should not sign him. He is likely declining at this point. His best years are behind. He will be 33 next year.

The Perisic and Morata transfer rumors have died. I think Morata would be crucial but I don't think Perisic will improve Man U. We already have Mkhitaryan who IMO is better. Give Martial his chance.

The Matic deal looks very very likely though. The idea is you pay us the same amount as we pay for Bakayoko - we love that kind of 'cost covering' deal. But I think it's nuts to give Matic to you - he is exactly the midfield specialist mourinho needs. I don't see chelsea to man utd as a downgrade.
