I might be a newbie to comment on all these, but I cannot resist myself after seeing all these.

There are two types of members here - releasers and consumers (like me).
For a couple of months it has been seen that some consumers are constantly poking the releasers, and if they dont deliver in time the consumers just go nuts and talk $hit, as if it is their right to demand for anything that the releasers are kind enough to share with all. Come on, are you spoilt brats who expect your momma will give anything u want and never have any type of gratitude or whateva?

To add to that, several patchmakers are having fight with each other. Why? This is a community where the patchmakers are releasing their patches for the other ppl in community without any financial requirements, just for the love of the game and community. But sometimes it feels like some patchmakers have got their rights to fight over anything, and they feel that they are bigger than community.

Many may question who am I? As I said I am a consumer, and so I have not contributed in any patch making (except a little help in Indian football patch). I may not have rights to talk big about the biggies, but it seems that commoners should also speak out once the water has reached nose level.

If the mods feel to ban me, u can for this sin of saying all these, but I strongly believe this message should reach all and sundry.

heres my opinion.

the consumers, the ones who just request & download all day should only give comments based off the addon or mod in the thread they are posting.

say what you want good or bad, but keep the dumb stuff to yourself.
no s**t talking about things you dont know. period.

as they have no right, modders do the work for these consumers,
consumers do nothing for anyone.

& myself personally could careless if people used my creations.
because i do them for me, & share to be nice.

these people who only download need to have respect for the people who
take the time to make the game better.

since most of the consumers arent willing to try & put in the time themselves.

its not that the modders are bigger than the community, im only in this forum.
i havent really ever been in any other forum but the 09 & 10 forums.

but the modders should hold some sort of higher seat in this forum as this forum would be dead w.o the modders.

how many threads do you see in the fifa 10 discussing football ?
none, thats how many.

everything is requests or help threads.

the modders not only make your game better, they fix it when you screw it up.

so im not saying the modders are better than anyone, just simply deserve more respect.

I thing there are more makers than users, generally. Thats why this war makes me little smile. Are there any rule for stoling works? If isnt, why? In generall...

I dont think its on topic to solve how long time is user on this forum. Important are his expiriences and knowledge. Just my opinion...

As someone who is neither a modder nor a consumer I have to say that lurking in this place is a little like watching stags rutting in the mating season - entertaining in short bursts but consisting of a lot of grunting and groaning to very little effect.

Respect is earned, not demanded and derives as much from attitude as it does from an ability to produce. A thick skin is a prerequisite to survival in any online community but it is depressing to see so many ad hominem attacks in threads like this. Everyone has the right to make their own choices and bad mouthing them for those choices just breeds more conflict to the benefit of no one in the long run. Agree to disagree and move on.

My grandmother always used to tell me 'if you've nothing nice to say, say nothing' and that seems like a reasonable mantra in a community like this.

the problems lie in egos, my friend. everyone's got his own unique ego and it certainly isn't the same as another person's. when ego clashes, boom, there goes the dispute. Ugly, yes, but inevitable.

and then after disputes, there would be a few of the more popular ways to get things back on track - everyone shakes hands and be friends, or one party simply walks away for being overly sickened by such disputes. These resolves are understandable, and part of human nature.

If you really come in to ask what the problem is, chances are you're being rather ignorant
