Alright I'm about to deploy back to the USA from Iraq this month - so I wanted to post the patch I've been working on for a couple of months. First things first - I love the MLS...I truly believe they have made leaps the past couple of years by opening more DP slots and allocation money...It's the World's Game so who cares if there are more "foreigners" playing in the MLS - look at Arsenal - not one English player... Anyways, for the credits:

13 teams
Superliga w/ Mexican Teams
Expanded US Open Cup
New Kansas City gui

This patch also includes USL 1 (made by donovanfan, Khris Watkins and hjbs), because I wanted an expanded US Open Cup. When we get more USL 2 teams - we can expand it even more...

Now, I'm going to get this out of the way - YOU dont like something - change it...If something doesnt work - let me know cause it most likely doesnt work for me OR my FIFA is different from yours - so play with the tournaments...

So sad that Eloy and Sealy are gone now, but with Wolff coming back and Lopez finally hitting his stride Stateside, I think we've got a lot of potential in the second half of the season.

Well first things first - you have to check what the patch does...Make sure that San Jose is in the MLS league - if it isnt the game will crash...Make sure the USL 1 is algined with there league...CM does something that I dont like - where it puts patches wherever there is an open number...Sometimes those numbers make the game crash if they dont all line up...If you are trying to play a USL team the game will crash - I'm working on fixing that - but right now the USL Playoff doesnt work...so work in progress...PLUS make sure that year the league and tourneys happen is in 2007 - not 2008 - dont know why but the game crashes on that too...

oh ok, i'll check on that right now. another curious thing was that i tweaked the rosters as in changed some appearances and birthdays on a couple players and after i did that i couldnt even play a friendly. i havent really messed with cm08 so i'm guessing its pretty buggy this year.

After figuring out that the SuperLiga and U.S. Open cup IDs are the same I changed the U.S cup, imported it and it works. Seeing Columbus vs. Portland or Miami FC vs. Dallas is pretty cool. I then entered the SuperLiga and it works just fine as well.

In career mode I can play with a MLS team with no problem. However playing with a USL team is a different story as it crashes . I know there are some other threads and post out there about how to link a league to a tournament and vice versa. I may not be able to create faces or kits as well as you guys but would like to figure out what is wrong with the USL playoffs if anyone is willing to point me in the right direction.

I'm going to download the patch and to see if we can fix whatever errors, if any.

I also could make a stand alone version. Meaning, non dependent on CM, but can be installed without it. Then it would be impossible for people to messup when installing withh Creation Master

hey donovanfan - I'm finally back in my house in Texas so I have High Speed Internet now - so I'll upload that patch on bigUpload today for you...and we can get to work on the rest of the USL and such...

Actually - could you make the MLS All-star kits? I would like to see if I could make an All-Star game in the season?

After reading Donovan's suggestion in another post about how to link the league and tournament, it helped me fine the problem with the USL regular season and playoff patches not working in career mode. I changed the league ID to match the tournament ID. After doing so, a USL team can be now be used.

Also, I have edited the schedule to where you won't have as many three games back to back to back. No USL games are scheduled for Wednesday so they wont conflict with the US Open Cup games. I've moved the Superliga games to Tuesdays so they won't clash with the MLS schedule.

I'm testing and MLS and USL season in quick sim to make sure that they both don't crash after the first season.

Hopefully I'l be able to post a link to upload the patch by tomorrow.
