Yes it would be cooler if we could go further. Like taking the game's own wrinkled stuff into this to make it look more smooth, more realistic.

I guess the only possibility is the next big thing :

You can actually use the wrinkle map mixed in the materials of the model in photoshop (it's easier to get interesting effects there than on most 3d software, and the rendering there is pretty nice too)
