Hmmm yes I heard the repot about the Al Quida vid on the news last night... being ever the opportunists they are I suspect they wouldn't have bothered releasing anything if the Israeli army had been quick and efficient in taking care of Hezbollah... I just wonder what effect this unifying of Shia and Sunni that appears to be going on will have in Iraq.
It does make Al Queda look pretty sad though, a bit like 'don't forget about us!' when on an everyday level they wil never have the respect of a Hamas or a Hezbollah... BIG concern is what happens in the following days if Israel don't make headway against Hexbollah... if they open the scope of their bombing further then the civilian count goes up, if they don't and actually end up suffering something of a moral defeat (i.e. Hezbollah remain intact) then the aura of the Israeli arm is lost and its neighbours will start thinking differently...

Regardless the guy is not the ideal leader of a nation for one simple reason, he is a horrible public speaker. In other words he can't fullfill 1/3 of his responsibility, i.e to properly convey ideas to a nation.
Finally, he seems to me to be enjoying this and sees it as necessary (Iraq's occupation/civil war), so I don't think he's hard to convince on 99% of the decisions he made, a majority of them have been for his own and his family's personal benefit.
The question now is how do we fix this mess?
The answer is
1)dissolve Iraq into 3/4 nations based on religious/ethnic backrounds and withdraw entirely allowing each nation the rights of soverenty .
2)rearrange the map of Palestine giving the majority of it back to the Palestinians
3)Get rid of the oil based economic system and replace it with "green"
The repercussion of these will be
1)Sunni/ Shiite/ Kurd states separate and segragated
-no more massacres, no more death no future wars
2)Palestinians happy and stop whinning
-Israelis displeased-> well give them a small portion of the land and some of Jerusalem and that's it! Not control of the whole land, the Western powers were really stupid to do this after WWII
3)US stops getting involved everywere in the world in search of oil and ends up in war.
.....
But that would be the perfect world......instead let's go to Walgreens they have a sale on iced tea.
