Merging Database

I have two different databases that I want to merge, which are the fifa 13 database update 2.0 by ariel and fifa 13 romanian league patch by fifa evolution. Is there a way to merge both of these databases? If it is possible, can anyone please give a short basic instructions on what to do? I also plan to merge it with the UPL patch and World Tour patch when they are out :biggrinx:

Thanks

You're asking something that can take weeks to learn. Download DMB 12, read some threads around here on its use, then practice editing and creating your own custom db with it. Shouldn't take you too long to figure out how and what to do.

for the inexperienced it would take months, first thing he would have to do is find duplicate player ids.

most modders have zero commonsense nowadays and do not communicate with others to attempt to keep ranges of ids specific to certain leagues so multiple patches can coexist in the same database.

even if he found all the duplicate ids in the merged database he would then need to assign new ids for teams, leagues, players, player names, etc and then the same for all the graphic files.

it is doomed to failure before he even starts, i have an insane amount of experience editing databases and even i would not attempt to do what he is thinking of doing.

That's why there was the CMS a few years back. Maybe for 14 we can get something like that going again....who knows.

getting it going is not the problem, the problem is getting the creators to use them.

i have noticed over the years that editors go out of their way to not use id ranges in order to have you use their patch and only their patches.

This is how we do it:

-Just before everything, always make a backup of the database before editing anything

-For all this you need DB Master 12, DB Master 11, and Creation Master 11, download links:
DB Master 12: http://fifa-master.com/downloads/category/42-db-master-12
DB Master 11: http://fifa-master.com/downloads/category/37-db-master-11
Creation Master 11: http://fifa-master.com/downloads/category/40-creation-master-11

-Use DB Master 12 to open the databases and export the players table, then open each of the txt files with Microsoft Excel

I'll explain you how to add the romanian patch in the other db (fusionnating them if you want to say so)

-Always in Excel go to the romanian patch file, copy the players you need to a new document to avoid some mess (I hope that all the players have been created

-So as there may be similar ids you have to to re id the players, take the 1st id and re id it to an unassigned id, select all the ids and then click in the blue square containing an arrow and click in down or whatever (you can also double click in the bottom right of the selection square when you select only the 1st id):

So you have the choice between this (you have to use it when you select only a part of the ids | Shortcut: CTRL + B )

Or this (when you select the entire ids of the document):

Then to make a serie of numbers click in serie (I don't know if it's the same in the english version):

Then click in OK:

So here you have all the players re ided:

-Now that all the players have been re ided the problem is in their names, if in both databases there are new player names so you have to follow this:

-Before CM had a CMP patch option but Rinaldo didn't have enough time to add it in CM 12, there are 2 ways I know but here's the one I use:
-This way consists to open the FIFA 11 db with DBM 11 and open the players table, then copy the playerid, firstnameid, lastnameid, playerjerseynameid, and commonnameid columns of the reided players to the FIFA 11 players table over the original columns, without caring about the orher tables, we only care about the names, delete the other players that we don't use, import it in the FIFA 11 db
Then take the playernames table of the romanian patch and open it in Excel, delete the commentarynameid column to adapt it to the FIFA 11 database, and import it to FIFA 11.
Once done save it and open it with Creation Master 11 and Click in Patch -> Create, in the left select Players, and you'll get the list of the players, select all of them and click in Create in the top and save it as a CMP patch, then exit and go another time to DBM 11 and delete all the players, import the playernames table of the "database update 2.0" save and exit, open CM 11 and load the patch, save, reopen DBM 11 you'll get the players with a new id adapted to the other db and a playernames table with the all names of both db
Now, export and open the final players table, copy the player names tables over the re ided FIFA 13 names tables, and add the new names to the FIFA 13 "database update" playernames table (use commentatoryid default value 900000) and import it in the "database update 2.0" db with DBM 13, then copy the re ided players to the "database update 2.0" file, save, import, and enjoy!

For the ones who don't have FIFA 11, here's the database with the 2011 winter roster update:
http://www.multiupload.com/EGEKW8C974
And here's a registery fix that will allow CM 11 and DBM 11 to detect the game even if it's not installed (registry fix):

Massive thanks for jschuck12001, I've learned so much things from him
I hope that you understood this tutorial, tell me if you have a problem I'm here (Y)

Extra hint: Remember, that FIFA players table has diffrent column layout every year. Some things are added, some removed so make sure you pasted all of the data in the right positions. If you're missing something then just paste it from the original database (select a range that ends on the last record, hold down ctrl button and move the data untill you fill your column).

that's converting from a FIFA to another but this year it's quite simple to do it comparing to the other years but I think that when you export the FIFA 12 table, there's a column missing that you have to copy from DBM 12 itself, the only difficult thing is the player names
Anyways I think that Creation Studio 13 will have to convert option but what about merging?

hey now you can merge databases from FIFA 13, EURO 2012, FIFA 12 and FIFA 11 to yours by using Creation Studio 13 with the converter options
Is this true? Is there a program that will allow me to merge portions of my Fifa 11 DB with Fifa 13? Creation Studio only seems to read and understand Fifa 12.

Seems like a "no"?
