Not having heard from the guys for a couple days it a positive thing, if you think about it. Would n't you guys be happy to know the UC team are so busy trying to get the Patch out rather than cruising this forum. I know I don't mind!

They have answered about everything we have thrown at them. So for now, let's sit back and wait for how ever long it takes to iron out the creases. I would rather have them take their time and create a brilliant patch rather than have them rush the patch and be disappointed.

I waited long enough for the game, so I don't mind waiting for the patch.

I have to disagree there Elf.

I think we could at least get some sort of an update. It doesnt take long to jump on and say X days left. Would only take a few minutes.

Instead, we just hear "next week" each week, and then nothing. Gives me the impression that they either have no idea when it will be ready, or couldnt be bothered letting us know.

Can anyone tell how frustrated I am here? hehe
This has got to be the ALMOST best game ever. So much potential, yet instead I find myself pulling out my hair in frustration.

Please!! Let us know what's going on!

Sorry about the silence, but we are having a few hastles getting the copy protection into the patch .... ( original was cracked in a couple of days + we keep cracking the patch too easily) My next post will give the release date ... Please be patient.

We are trying to get the patch to you as quickly as possible - please be patient! Also, if you don't hear anything from us for a couple of days it usually for one of two reasons:

a) We're a tad busy
b) It's the weekend....

Otherwise we'll repond to you as quickly as humanly possible.

I just hope you dont waste too much time on copy protection. As I understood it, the patch was going to be released last week, except for the copy protection issue.
If thats still the only issue now, then it means a whole week was wasted trying to improve the copy protection.

And although that sounds like an important thing, in reality it doesnt really mean much. The unfortunate truth is, no matter how wiz-bang fantastic you make your copy protection, someone out there will crack it. Whether it takes 2 days or 5 days, makes no real difference, but it does if it holds up releasing the patch for a week or more.

Anyway, keep up the good work guys. Hope to see the results soon.

I think the only way to stop piracy is allow net games and check for CD-Key. Counter-strike makes people buy Half-life. That's why valve made Counter-strike a stand-alone version ;)
Well, make sure the product is sold everywhere in the world though..

Aye, if the 'midnighters' decide to crack the new patch, it will be demolished in no time, even net play and cd check programmes don't seem to last very long once that they hit the shelves, do any of you lads remember Robo Cop or Robo Cop two that was out on the Amiga, it had 'unbreakable' dongle protection that lasted for about 35 seconds once the crackers got there claws on it ... the first Diablo was a huge coded 450 meg install.exe file that was disasembled and redone by a guy from the states ' i think' .. he even congratulated and emailed the Blizzard team for giving him the challenge to break it, apparently that was a tough one that took 7 days to sort out. Oh well, thats life in cyber world ... Ned :(

Which is why it bothers me that we've now already had to wait a week just to improve the copy protection (that will be hacked in less than a week anyway). And still there is no word of when the patch is going to be released. I fear some gamers have already given up.

Cmon guys, can you give us a REAL timeframe?
"Soon", or "have patience" is not an answer.
