This mod is really good, Its a shame EA Cant allow us to utlize the full power of the frostbite engine.

Has anyone had any luck in changing the LOD on the grass, I have been trying myself but I keep getting nowhere.

All i can do is completely make the pitch black which just looks awful

I tried fiddling with 3D grass' draw distance but so far no luck.

It's worth mentioning that Xbox One X has better draw distance than Ps4Pro and PC version [As shown in Digital Foundry's video]. So maybe there's something that determines the draw distance.

Yes your right, I have noticed whenever I zoom as far back and as high while looking at the ground using the instant replay(Orbit camera setting) the grass returns to the flat carpet but changes back into the 3D grass as I zoom further in or move the camera so its side on to the grass.

That explains the difference in grass between the different replay camera angles.
I am specifically trying to make 3D grass appear during PRO camera because that carpet crap is really annoying the hell out of me.

Im gonna keep messing around with the pitches and Ill post if I find anything.

Not sure if it's as good as yours but this mod work via mod manager: http://www.moddingway.com/file/227286.html

EDIT: I also converted your fbproject to an fbmod file and it worked for me?

Yeah, that mod is pretty much the same.

Hmm I see. Good for you if it works. But whenever I try to export my fbproject to fbmod format, it doesn't work. Launching from mod manager gives me an error message, I will post the screenshot when I get home.

Click on File in Frosty Editor once you load the fbproject.

You will find the follwing option "Export to mod" or something similar to that. And then export.

Now you can open that exported file via Mod manager.

Are you sure you have the latest versions of both tools mate?

And what's the latest version according to you?

I see from the pic in first post that you are using the outdated FrostyEditor_v1.0.3alpha4
Download latest version v1.0.3.1 from here: https://github.com/GalaxyEham/FrostyToolSuite/releases/tag/v1.0.3
Download both tools, if required download and use the bcrypt.dll fix,
who everyone are using, download from here: https://doctorfidel.wixsite.com/coldopen/frosty
After the download check in the COM website how to properly unblock Galaxy *.rar archives:
After the download don't extract *.rar but follow steps below
to avoid Win security and properly unblock every Frosty library in one click:
To "unblock" all files/dll inside rar archive, right-click it in Windows Explorer,
choose Properties from the context menu, click the Unblock button in
the lower right-hand corner of the resulting dialog, and hit OK or Apply
Do this for FrostyEditor_vXXX.rar and FrostyModManager_vXXX.rar
You can now extract both *.rar archives in two different related folders.
Enjoy!

How to increase balls LOD? Thanks.

Yes is possible but ball lod values are stored differently. You need to edit every ball with new settings:
as example you can edit (this is the ball 0) ---- ball_0_mesh ---
Code:
00000f70 RigidMeshAsset
00000f70        $::MeshAsset
00000f70            $::MeshBaseAsset

Heya been messing around and Ive found a way to increase the grass on sideline high camera setting which previously had no visible grass

BEFORE
1.jpg

No grass what so ever.

AFTER
2.jpg

I know its a little hard to see but there is actual grass.

At the moment I have only changed the SIDELINE HIGH, but i hope to affect the other cameras hopefully.

Here is the setting which affected the change

3.jpg

I will continue to mess around and see if any other settings change the grass appearence.

Nice. Now we need to find what changes the density of 3D grass. That way 3D grass will look great from gameplay camera.
