Maybe it's a 3-5-2 afterall...

Time will tell. But that could easily be a 4-2-3-1.

Same players. I love the versatility of Rojo and Blind.

3-0 at half ... I'm in tears ... great achievement against a top side ...

On serious side, team plays more flair in diamond 4-4-2 ... Di Maria is a beast ... Rooney is on top form ...

Took 4 games to abandon the 3-5-2. At least the right decision has been made. Diamond seems to suit your players the best; allows Di Maria to carillero and Mata to operate in his preferred position.

I have been saying that since the Moyes era but we didn't have ADM7 then.

It's very difficult to coordinate its lines. if 2 forwards play inside you might not have anyone wide, if the opponent play with offensive fullbacks and wingers it's tought to defend 2vs1 agaist your sideback... it needs a lot of work and talented players.

This and 6 players playing inside in short spaces...

3-5-2 is an hybrid between Diamond 4-4-2 and 3-4-3.

Ancelotti played the best diamond at Milan, then tried to redo it at Chelsea and it failed

Ancelotti played many systems, Diamond, regular 4-4-2, Christmas tree... Mourinho tried Diamond in his 3th season at Chelsea, his Porto played that way in Europe too.

I agree. However, it depends on the players you have. In Man Utd, Di Maria would likely spend a lot of time whereas on the other side, Herrera was stay centrally. Mata, van Persie and Rooney were taking turns occupying the right wing position at times. It may or may not work for us. Other than Milan, I don't know any team that has been hugely successfl.

thats the performance i was waiting for. there wasnt one bad player on the field for united. Rafa was excellent in defence and out wide in attack; ADM was phenomenal, out of this world performance. Blind is probably one of the most calm, confident players when he has the ball. 116 passes with a 95% accuracy, thats really good. Rojo was solid at left back. He and ADM combination down at the left side was excellent to watch. Herrera (the player with the name print that goes from armpit-to-armpit) was excellent. Showing his money's worth. The rest were excellent. Evans had a much better game, Everton will be the key match to see where we are before heading into next month Chelsea and ManC.

I thought Valencia was pretty rubbish after he came on for Rafael. The game was already been put to bed, but our attacking took a huge blow with him on the field. It really showed that he doesn't have the same quality as the other players around him who were on the field today. Never really been the same player after his injury and he seems to keep on regressing. I hope Rafael manages to stay injury free this season. Definitely should be our first choice right/wing back.

Also liked the reception from our fans that Falcao got, the crowd went mad when he started warming up. :p

Edit: Oh and i was pretty mad at Januzaj in the end when he decided to go for glory instead of passing it to Falcao or van Persie. 4-0 ahead and it didn't really matter, but still pretty stupid of him. van Persie's reaction was hilarious.
