You lot live in a dream world. You have to have exceptional talent to even play in the league 1 or championship.

The Manchester youth system has constantly and consistently drilled out talent at a high level since the 1930's, that why its considered so good. The records speak for themselves, the most successful youth system in English football. We got something like 10 hall of famers

I think in the top 10 Youth academies in Europe, Manchester Utd are the only English team to make the list.

The 92 Class was just a whole different level. But then you have to also remember the system was different then which is now returning how it was. Catchment area's etc.

Btw, I don't agree with Ade that United has the best youth academy in England ... Arsenal produced much better players in the last decade ...

The Von Trapps
^ yeah, he's done quite a few TV spots for beIN Sports in English, dating back well over a year ago ... I was quite surprised then too ...

back to the youth discussion:

Soton clearly have an excellent academy ... it's a joke to compare their efforts to those of Arsenal and Man Yoo -- buying 16 year olds and sticking them in the youth team for a year or so isn't "producing" talent ...

Yopu don't need to be smart to figure this out.

Other than 1992, our most successful players have been Fletcher and O'Shea. Next to that is Welbeck and Cleverley. Nothing in comparison to team 1992. I think we were just lucky in 1992. Talent cannot be created.

Lets discuss 1992 ...

Giggs was not really part of that youth academy ... he was in City academy

Phil Nevile and Nicky Butt were average and Gary Neville was way overrated ...

That leaves us with Beckham and Scholes ...

Its really nothing compared to La Masia that produced Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Fabregas, Pique, Bosquests and ...
