He's 5'7'' and was loaned out immediately. 5'7'' is not prohibitively small for a winger. It's bigger than Messi, and that dude Guily was a legit midget.

I'd tend to agree, although he did struggle against more physical full backs. Our recent wingers have been big enough. Evra doesn't offer too much protection to smaller wingers.


In answer to Nady, got to sign players when they are cheap. Who knows what the price of signing a talented 21 year old can be? When a player is available, snap them up.

Tosic was given a number of chances, didn't impress enough and was shipped out. Over a year later, he is still not impressing enough to be our player.

But he spent a year with us and was a regular feature in the reserve team. In my opinion that's more than enough time to prove your worth. Ljalic deal just never happened, maybe Fergie realized that he didn't like his attitude or he bombed in trials, who knows what happens behind the scenes.

Or maybe in his older age Fergie doesn't have as much time to monitor the Reserves as he used to, and as a result great players are slipping through his fingers.

Constructive criticism should always be part of supporting a club.

We didn't press a team that was completely shot of any confidence whatsoever.
We never doubled up and kept giving Yakubu space or licence to attack Jones/Carrick in a one-on-one situation.

The not pressing really pisses me off. We didn't do it against Basle and lost, as well.
We did it once when we scored our second...

I wouldn't mind seeing Lindegaard play a few matches. It can't hurt. He's more of a physical presence which gives him more of an edge.
