Horrible news about Fletcher. It's possible that he will never play again, depending on how bad the disease is.

In the worst cases of Crohn's, a large part of the colon will be surgically removed, resulting a bag placed in your body so you could digest (you take your **** into the bag, basically).

He doesn't have Crohn's. He has Ulcerative Colitis which is similar to Crohn's.

Surgery is usually the last last resort for treatment when medical treatment fails. I am not sure how severe Fletcher's disease is, but once he is on remission with treatment, he'll be fine. The only problem is that it is a recurrent disease and flare ups can make you lose lots of weight. Like 10 Kgs in 2 weeks. All the best to him. I am confident he will be back to his best.

Talking about injuries, we now have 10; More than any other EPL team. Let's see who we have in central midfield: Carrick are Gibson only. Others who can play centrally are: Giggs (winger), Park (winger), Jones (defender). I think for now we should stick with Jones/Carrick unless we want to see Gibson in the team. Giggs is not getting any younger so I wouldn't rely on him. Park is an option as well but he plays better as AMF with 2 CMS behind him.

According to this, we have a couple of players returning around new years time including Cleverley. At least we will be able to play with 2 natural CMS then unless Carrick gets injured.

The good news is of the 10 we have 5 back at the end of December. QPR, Fulham, Wigan next. Lets hope we don't lose points on the gap we have been gifted.

Wow a chronically inflammatory bowel condition must be about the most embarrassing illness there is...

Well, the second most embarrassing...

However, giving too much information is a problem Lee Craig Stewart often faces. For example, in the about me section of his website where he is touting for business, he somehow feels the need to outline his medical conditions....

"I was a craniopharyngioma brain tumour survivor in 1995, I have been diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus & Panhypopituitarism"

Particularly embarrasing when you look into what these conditions actually are...

"Panhypopituitarism, a rare disorder usually associated with a suprasellar cyst or craniopharyngioma, is characterized by dwarfism with normal body proportions, subnormal sexual development, and insufficient thyroid and adrenal function. Diabetes insipidus is frequently present, bitemporal hemianopia or complete blindness may occur, and skin is often yellow and wrinkled, but mentality is usually unimpaired..... Characteristic signs of the disorder are failure to lactate, amenorrhea (in females), weakness, cold intolerance, infantile genitalia (in males), lethargy, and loss of libido and of axillary and pubic hair."

"Diabetes Insipidus leads to frequent urination, and this is the most common and clear symptom. Frequent urination, unusual thirst, and dehydration are all symptoms of DI. "

I almost feel sorry for the guy.... :(

It's Europa time!

:(

Matches today and tomorrow, draw on friday. Non-seeded teams (we could face) at the moment: Trabzonspor, Ajax, Atletico Madrid, Anderlecht, Braga, Hannover, Legia Warsaw, Lokomotiv Moscow, PAOK, Porto, Viktoria Plzen.

If I get this correctly, fter the games today and tomorrow, these teams can be added to the list of potential opponents: Salzburg or PSG, AZ or Wien Autria, Udinese or Celtic, Maccabi or Steaua, Wisla Krakow (if they advance instead of Fulham).

Can't get other seeded teams (EL group winners/best 3rd place teams in CL) nor other english teams.

You should not talk about things you know nothing about. It is great that you can google the definition of panhypopituitarism and diabetes insipidus, but that won't make you understand them any better.

There is nothing embarassing about any of these or Darren Fletcher's disease either and both can be properly treated with minimal impact on a person's life.

Yes there is. Having dwarf size genitals is embarrassing, no matter what the doctor tells you. Just like being extremely fat is embarrassing whether or not it's your own fault. And having cornrows is embarrassing even if someone snuck in and did them in the middle of the night when you were asleep.

That is exactly what I'm talking about... you speak of things you know nothing about. You assume that everyone diagnosed with hypopituitarism automatically has "dwarf size genitals", is extremely fat and has everything else written down in a description you found on the internet? It's a lot more complicated than that. And while their quality of life may be reduced at some point, it is certainly not something to be embarassed about.

So yeah, it's probably you who should be embarassed for making fun of footballers' medical conditions. Health is more important than that. You never know, someday you might even find yourself in a similar situation...

Yeah, watch out Sir_Didier_Drogba, because some day, some day, you'll have a tiny penis.

I don't know about you, but I think having a toddler sized micropenis would be really embarrassing. I guess you're just more secure than me.
