I'd call that a decent away win. Swansea were good and entertaining to watch. Other teams will drop points at their home.

All props to swansea, they play a good game. high pressure and very good use of the ball. would i have liked a bigger score? yes! but i am really impressed with swansea.

If 1 or 2 more of those breakaways from Hernandez were finished, would have been a totally different game. I agree, overall those were good points


We got 29 points out of 12 games, that's amazing. As long as we stay somewhat close to City by New Year, we will be able to overtake them in the second part of the season.

Chelsea lost to pool. Excellent result for us. We are now 7 points ahead of our next major competitor Chelsea. I am not worried about Newcastle or Liverpool. We are in a good position and we usually play better in the second half of the season.

Never thought City would start the season so well. Their team is gelling much better than expected. Form doesn't last forever though. Lets see.

Yes Help, 29 points out of 36. Thats excellent. The thing I worry is that we should be winning more comfortably against teams like Otelul, Swansea or Sunderland. I know winning matters most, but we're not gonna win against stronger opponents with performances like these.

*edit* young and cleverly back for next game. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next couple of game we start playing a lot better.

Our defence is a big problem at the moment...... almost every attack of any opposition looks dangerous. Our attack looked ok today with Nani running the show.... Young and Berba were decent together....

Basle will give it their all in the last game....if I am correct, Vidic will be back for that game...

I thought it was just a couple mistakes, United would win that game 999 out of 1000, it was just a couple bad mistakes at bad times. Certainly not every of Benfica's attacks was dangerous

I thought every time they got forward they found loads of space. They didn't take advantage of any of it. Manu also got a few one on ones and couldn't take advantage.

BDW...........Citeh are almost out of the CL unless Bayern **** up and Napoli commit suicide.

Yeah you're right about the mistakes, which eventually ended up in goals....I'm pointing more at how much space we give away at the back.....that rock solid wall of a defence of the past seasons is not there yet..... In the past getting a shot at our goal was difficult enough for any team, today any team gets loads of chances, we are lucky at times.....

We are clearly in transition with one of the youngest squads in years, they have a lot to learn, it will come good eventually....

Man, last season we conceeded like 1 goal in group stages, this season I have no comment.

Didn't watch the game. Will watch highlights. If we end up second in the group stage, we might end up having to play Barca in the last 16 and crash and burn early in the competition. Goal difference will matter most in the final game.

I hope C*ty end up in the Europa (3rd place) so at least it will keep them busy and they won't focus just on the EPL.

Actually Benfica's head-to-head record against both United and Basel mean we will be first in the group if we beat Oţelul at home, regardless of United's result on the last match.

Didn't realize that. So chances that we will end up second is high and we will have to face teams like Real Madrid or Barcelona . I don't see Otelul getting anything out of this game TBH.

I think we will do well even though we would have to face a tough team. But we could've made our lives easier if we hadn't played reserve teams for the first 2 games.
