Nah, I reckon United done the deal. With Robinho going to City, Sparky will not want the headache of Berbatov now.

I'm sure the deal was done - but was it finalised and registered in time? I'm thinking City used the Berbatov angle as a smokescreen - and maybe with the aim of screwing it up for us as well. In fact I doubt City ever even wanted Berbatov.

I don't think United even considered Robinho, because of the games Real were playing with Ronaldo - I don't think they'd willingly do business together. It truly annoys me how we go about our business - especially when last summer we seemed to have got it right for once.

Here we are, 34 minutes past the deadline and we still don't know if we have a new number 9.

He actually had 2 meetings and 2 medicals today. The first was with United, and the second was with City. Spurs will decide which club they wish to sell him to. The choices for Berbatov as far as Spurs is concerned, is either City or to remain at Spurs. That is unless United match the offer from City. If they do not, then he will go to Manchester City or remain at Spurs, whether he likes it or not.

This from a friend of mine who is a coach at Spurs. He does usually get things spot on.

Nope. It's the Spanish tabloids "claiming" that City have made a bid for Robinho. That is not the same thing as City actually making a bid. Also Sparky has said tonight that the report is rubbish.

:D:D:D

I can't decide which is my favourite quote.

Anyway, early indications are that its 30.75 million + Frazier on loan. Dont feel he's worth that but thats the price you have to pay these days. Glad Campbell's only on loan too, didn't want to see him leave.

YES!!! We have Berbatov!!! Frazier is heading the other way on a season long loan. I guess we offered them a temporary solution to their striker shortage. I hope Frazier gets his chance and gain more experience

not sure of prices but with tevez and rooney would it not have been a better option to just go buy robinho??

so as I was saying...

Berbatov
Rooney-Tevez-Ronaldo
Carrick/Anderson - Scholes/Owen

with cover for winger/strikers with giggs, nani, Campbell, saha manucho (if we every get a permit) Enough to worry any team. Then dont forget probably one the best defensive lineup's in the world.

Probably wont happen like that, but the potential :D just imagine all the movement of rooney, tevez, ronaldo and berb running at you

Robinho is more of a winger/second striker and he is an Epl unknown where as, Berbatov is Proven in the epl which counts for a lot and can play at centre forward

not at all...We needed a big striker who can get to crosses. Plus, I'm not sure if Robinho's worth his price tag

I thought the same about the price because of his age but we should get at least 6 years out of him. Probably more if they use him as super sub towards end of his career.

VDS - Foster - Kuszczak
Rafael - Brown - Neville - Simpson - Rio - Vidic - Evans - Evra - Fabio - O'Shea
Scholes - Carrick - Hargreaves - Anderson - Fletcher - Possebon - Gibson
Ronaldo - Nani - Park - Giggs
Rooney - Berbatov - Tevez - Manucho - Campbell

nice rotation/cover just need those guys to come back from injury now and shake the rust.

Campbell is on loan to the Spurs for a year.

Looks like Sept. 13 is gonna be interesting!

Berbatov ready for the Torres-less Liverpool
SWP and Robinho against Chelsea.

there's stuff in the newspapers today suggesting we may have a transfer ban or points deducted for berb... lets hope that's not true.
