This Silva Bid was probably made at a time when it looked like Ronaldo was going to Real/ or in case Ronaldo was going to Real. The article doesn't say when the bid occured

It was also carried by Marca - Real Madrid's mouthpiece, perhaps trying to encourage Madrid to try again for Ronny (If United signed another winger - it's a clear message to Ronaldo) probably not though :innocent_smile_1:

Ando has been largely anonymous at the Olympics - I was hoping he'd hit the net a couple of times at least. I have a feeling, once he gets that first goal he'll be unstoppable.

more reports popping up about berb again.

Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov is on the verge of completing his long-anticipated move to Manchester United, according to reports.

Spurs are reported to have agreed to sell the striker on Tuesday after the English and European champions tabled a substantially-improved bid.

After rejecting United's first offer of £20milion, Tottenham declared they would not consider selling the Bulgarian for less than £30million - but it is believed a fee of around £28million has now been agreed.

The Daily Mail suggests Berbatov could even be a Manchester United player by the end of Wednesday, though most of the UK press suggest the deal will be done by the end of the week.

The Red Devils have pursued Berbatov for at least 18 months and were reported to the Premier League for 'tapping-up' the 27-year-old by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy last month.

Berbatov's arrival is likely to hasten the exit from Old Trafford of Louis Saha, while it leaves Spurs searching for a new striker after also selling Robbie Keane to Liverpool earlier in the summer.

Looks like the berb deal is slowing again... I read they want 32 mil now? What's worse real have bid for Huntelaar. Although saying that if there was any true interest to get the lad it would of been done already after what he was quoted to have said recently.

Probably get a goal or two and sell a few thousand shirts, i don't expect much from him. Ever since he left Arsenal, he went back to his Juve form.

Expected to be ready by 21st September 2008. But i personally think he will be back in early october.

Here is a useful link, one that will tell you about all the injuries and when the player is expected to be back. :).

Well, SAF did tell the media to expect a surprise or so...

Looks like we'll have a new striker within 48 hours according to the latest SAF interview.
He reckons there'll be a surprise come Sunday.
