I preferred the 6-2 :D
But anyway, a good weekend for us, our goals were sublime.
With Arsenal drawing as well which is brilliant, although I do hope Eduardo will be able to play football again and makes a speedy recovery.

They are at their lowest ebb in their entire history at this moment. It would show more class if you managed not to gloat and showed some compassion for a great club in crisis.

cmon pede...we have had our low points as well, everyone makes fun of everyone when the time is right. Its our time to gloat after a thrashing ;)

heard this chant at a local restaurant where a group of utd supporters had just finished watching the game...go ahead, make fun of Toronto FC :(

Everybody is so quick to criticise Michael Carrick if he has a below par game. So I'm going to give him a credit for how well he played today, I thought he was instrumental.

Hargreaves if you want somebody to keep somebody like Kaka quiet. Carrick for free flowing football. For me, Carrick. He has been in great form since January but was unfortunate to be benched for the inclusion of Scholes.

If United win the title I think today will be a day Arsenal will want to forget. An injury which affected their players' performances, two controversial Birmingham goals and a pass to Bendtner that never was.

I'm not taking anything away from United though. Scoring 5 against any PL team is an achievement and remember, goal difference might turn out to be important at the end of the season, so todays goals might prove critical.

Nice Birthday present for the weekend - Arsenal drop two points and United murder Newcastle (again)

Plus I was happy with the score in the Carling Cup final as well.

Hell, even Aldershot won again :amika:

Back to United matters though, I seriously believe that Arsenal are on the brink - just the body language of their players recently (especially Gallas' petulant display) although the Birmingham game could be attributed to the fact they saw a team mate carted off in the 3rd minute with a potential career ender. (And I sincerely hope the lad is alright)

I just think perhaps this week has tipped the momentum back in our favour, we took Newcastle apart last night and I can't help but think that this and the demolition of Arsenal at Old Trafford last week has given us the psychological edge.

I enjoyed the cup final as well :D .
We have Fulham away next week which really shouldn't be too difficult although anything is possible which is why we need to stay focused.

Playing the "lesser" teams is what worries me - I find myself wondering if the boys play with the same intensity as they do in the top games (Just look at the points we've lost this season)

Hopefully the competition for places will ensure everyone is motivated though. Fulham were pretty poor yesterday incidentally, West Ham should have nailed them by more than one.

Oh i guess i am not supposed to say "i enjoyed it too", cos i am more than happy with Berba lifting the trophy. I couldn't stand Chelsea doing a CC double, since they played pretty sloppy at times.
Plus Robinson did a good game on Spurs' goal, considering his usual performances there. Almighty Berbatov though, i am so happy.

As of Fulham - they have a horrible campaign. I doubt they would be an obstacle on the way to the trophy.

No way Fulham are gonna pose any difficulties for us....
West Ham last year was basically a different proposition than this years's Fulham..So I think we will win and that too nice.
The defeat to Bolton could be very important for us come the end of the season..We should have won that game...

Even 3 points difference are doable. Don't forget the head-to-head game is at OT, so a win brings the winner upfront on direct game advantage.

After all, i expect Arsenal not to maintain the 3 pts difference, since they have attacking problems now, with Eduardo missing, so let's hope our guys do their thing. Arsenal will lose more points then us until the end of the campaign, that's for sure.

Seriously, we shouldn't be taking the Fulham game lightly, since really stranger things have happened in football(cliché I know).
Remember Wolves, Norwich, Sunderland and many others including the last 3 West Ham games. I do think we will win but we should be cautious.
