The replays showed Niemi clipped Ronaldo. Either if he didn't, wtf did Rob Styles expect Ronaldo to do at that speed. Quickly sidestep to the side of the keeper, he tried jumping over Niemi, and got caught. Even if he didn't get caught, he was going to fall at that speed, does Rob Styles realistically expect Ronaldo to leap over Niemi at that speed, and keep balance in order not to get a yellow card. Just because players go over, doesn't always mean they're diving either.

Help?

Ronaldo was actually going well over Niemi, until Niemi decided to raise his arm from parallel to the ground, to 90 deegrees to the ground

If it was Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney or Michael Owen, it would have gone the other way. Maybe Cristiano should just step on the goalie's fingers so that he won't dive to the ground, but the goalie will fracture his hand.

**** yeah :D

Nice match, the linesmen were some of the most incompetent I´ve ever seen though.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been wrongly typecasted as a Diver.
That's what the refs have in mind and that is why these decisions go against him most of the time.

That's what Ferguson said... but at the same time you could also say that question applies almost every time he goes down dramaticaly... why?
How often does he go down dramatically, because it doesn't happen anymore. Maybe two years ago it might have been the case.

And neville's reinjured himself whilst wes brown holds his future in his own hands. We could find ourselves real shortsighted on defense if we aren't careful.

4-1 victory. Disappointed with Ronaldo's dive and not giving the chance for Tevez to complete his hat-trick.

Nice result. I'll set the vid for MUTV tomorrow night. I thought there'd be a danger of Ronaldo thinking "what the hell - if I go down everyone thinks it's a dive anyway"
