I don't think that we will be going for another striker (but you never know), I can see the likes as Frazier Campbell, Dong etc moving up the pecking order, we all know that SAF likes to give our youth players the chance to be part of the first team and this is a chance for them

You might have spoken too soon, Football365 are reporting that Man Utd are scouring Europe for a striker, and will lodge a £22million bid for Berbatov. They should test Ajax's resolve at least with Huntelaar I reckon, but I think Ferguson is looking for a more experienced striker, rather than a youngster like Tevez or Rooney. I wouldn't mind Anelka at all.

Martins or Anelka will do for me. Berbatov's too expensive and having Owen is like having another Saha that is shorter without that physical presence.

And Campbell isn't ready. He needs Cristiano's Weight Lifting manual to build up his bulk. Eagles and Nani could do with some too.

I've seen impressive glimpses on youtube. But unfortunately Anderson sat out most of last season with a broken leg and has a niggling hamstring injury, although Fergie reckons he'll be good for Saturday he's training well apparently.

As for strikers, what about that kid Alves in Holland?

Not really what we need really. We need someone who we can be sure will do well in the Premiership without needing too much time to adapt.

anderson is not like ronaldinho, he's just anderson
he's a brilliant player but i don't think he's style of playing is like ronaldinho's
and right now i really think united needs creativity in the midfield so i think that if he's physicallly ready to play, he should

What about Defoe? We were after him last summer.

Be interesting too see who we get, the only rumour i seen was that 22 million offer for Berbatov. I guess with that kind of moneyon the table there are a lot of potentials

I would rather get Anelka than Adriano but i highly doubt we will get a striker. We have spent too much. I think when ronaldo comes back everything should be fine. I hope tevez scores soon. It will up his confidence.

I wouldn't mind them playing a few games but there's no way we're winning anything if they end up being regulars.

Anelka is a quality player, but I'm not convinced about his attitude - he's had more clubs than Tiger Woods. Would Anelka's presence affect the team atmosphere or has he really settled down now. He is known as "Le Sulk" for a reason.

Honestly though, this close to the window closing I'm not really expecting United to be able to get anyone - though I think it'd be a good idea if they did.

Perhaps Fergie will put Ronaldo in up top - he tried it in Asia.

Fernandez

Team Captain
You can't win the Premiership with three strikers (actually we did with Forlan, van Nistelrooy and Solskjaer in 2003 but they were fit throughout the campaign). Ronaldo's most effective performances will come from him torturing defenders on the wing.

agree with Fernandez...we need for 4 quality strikers and atm, we have only 1 fit with 2 injured and the 4th retired from football :(

So i believe SAF will try to get one striker asap...i have a sinking feeling it will be from spurs but not Berbatov.....Defoe (:/)

I wont mind Adriano/Martins :p

Well you can write Anelka's name and put a line through it - he's re signed for Bolton for 4 years additional.

I seriously doubt United will get anyone by tomorrow midnight.
