IT is tragic and sad for anyone to die before their time.As a young man, Best entertained us all with his immense talent.Having said that, its true that he was given a second precious chance to live and he decided to f.u.c.k it up.I find it hard to feel sorry for the bloke to be honest.Self inflicted pemature death, the result of alcohol addiction.Who says booze does you no harm?.........ask George....R.I.P

According to the dutch media, Saha will be on his way to Besiktas during the January transfer window, Besiktas new trainer Tigana wants him and sees him als Ailton's replacement, who is allowed to go because of disciplinary problems

Georgie, you are a legend and possibly the most gifted player of all time. But I can't feel sorry for him dieing like this, he did it to himself and he knows it, and doesn't want our sympathy. May you die peacefully and finally be pain free. The Best, George Best!

Good news. Any estimate of his price?

And bad news about Ballack, but I never really expected him to sign for us. Hopefully this news goes mainstream soon, so that Fergie and them can start looking more seriously into a different alternative.

Why care about sponsors if we can't influence the ones we want on the shirt? As long as it's not a beer or a alcoholic company, it'll do.

Help?

No tissues or diapers too, please. Pampers would kill our dignity forever.

End beckons for George

George Best is continuing to cling to life with the aid of a ventilator, although doctors say that he now has just a matter of "hours, if not minutes" to live.

A full update on Best's condition is expected later on Friday morning as, in the words of his physician Professor Roger Williams, he comes to "the end of the long road."

Floral tributes have begun pouring in to the hospital where the Irishman will spend his final hours, along with a number of Manchester United shirts and scarves.

It is understood that Best's entire family are maintaining a bedside vigil as they await the inevitable news.

"We have just all been sitting down together and it's very upsetting for everybody, isn't it - those looking after him, the family," said Professor Williams.

"I have talked to them at great length, I think they understand everything... I think they accept what's going to happen."

He is worth €10 million

And PSV trainer Guus Hiddink has been linked with United

Fergie ruled out a bid for Ballack.

I hope Fergie leaves the club at the end of the season. He is turning us into another Liverpool.

If he is on a free i can't understand why Fergie doesn't go for him.

I guess Ballack probably told United to feck off rather than it being the other way round and Fergie trying to save face.

I doubt we would of got him anyway. But i still agree on Fergie going at end of season, I'll say again i think Vincente Del Bosque as manager i've always believed he could be the best replacement he did very well at real madrid!. Or Martin O'Neil but whether he would come back so soon is another question.
And also players i think are realistic targets are

Vincent Kompany (But junst found out Chelsea want him so maybe not)
Morton Gamst Pederson
Thomas Gravesen
Ledley King

Well I actually agree with SAF about Ballack, the real problem we have is the lack of depth, that has been our main problem, when Heinze, Ruud or Ferdinand were unavailable we had problems all over the place, so thinking about the depth of the team is surely a problem we must tackle. Ballack, Rooney and Scholes are similar players which can play in the same position, Scholes and Ballack are almost the same age, if we can keep Saha fit or give Rossi more chances, maybe one of those two can form a strike force with Ruud and then Rooney playing behind the both of them, one player we must try and get is Gravesen, he is similar to Keane and he has done well for Everton in the past,
