Trivia

  • The 2010–11 season will be Manchester United's 19th season in the Premier League, and their 36th consecutive season in the top-flight of English football.
  • It will be the first season with new shirt sponsors Aon, after four seasons with AIG.
  • United can also become only the second team since Liverpool in 1983 to win three successive League Cups.
  • They will also compete in the Champions League for the 15th season in a row, and also have an FA Cup campaign and the Community Shield to play for.

Rivalries

United's number one rival is difficult to determine. Traditionally, the closest rivals have been Liverpool, Manchester City and Leeds, though Arsenal and Chelsea have come into the frame in recent years. Currently, most fans see Liverpool as their biggest rivals, due to the success of both clubs as well as their proximity to each other, while others rate intra-city rivals Manchester City as their biggest rivals.

Pre Season:

16th July - Celtic (Roberts Centre) 3-1
21st July - Philadelphia Union 1-0
25th July - Kansas City Wizards (Arrowhead Stadium) 1-2
28th July - MLS All Stars (Reliant Stadium) 5-2
30th July - Chivas 2-3
4th August - League of Ireland XI

Javier Hernandez (C.D Guadalajara)

I think we should add something about the reserve and academy players too. One thing about the information on Old Trafford, can we really still say Archebald Leitch designed it? He designed the first incarnation - but there's nothing left of his design now.

The creator of this thread hardly comes here. Never updates the first post.

btw thats not a genuine United logo.

I have to agree but I cant say I ever look at the first post after a week or two :D

But for arguments sake it would make sense for a more active poster to do it.

Red knights in retreat

I just found out that one of the main red knight contributors Jim O'neill is one of main group of big-shots over at goldman sachs. i.e. heavily involved in alot of the recent dodgy goings on in the financial world.

Thank god things don't seem to be going well for them.

im a huge fan of United too mates! ( im from chile. yeah that´s right (a fan at the end of the world too))

does anyone else think that the away jersey for this season its just a big disappointment. i mean the kits for last season (09 - 10) were really great. and the away was just amazing.

welcome to the forum mate. Yeah I'm not a big fan. I actually liked the last few. I'd like to see a better version of the home kit though.

Ah. Sorry mates last year, got a little too busy with work, and recovery, just after I created last season's thread, so couldn't update it regularly. I am Sorry for that. This year, I hope to be more active, and update the first post regularly, and just in case I am not able to do that, I will like someone else to do that for me (preferably Nady). And if you had some problems regarding the first post, or want something to be added or taken off from the first post, you can always contact me by message (?). Thanks.

Does anyone have proper pics of our Kits of the Current Season?

BTW, the first post has been updated. Hope you guys like it.

And, and, and, hope this season turns out to be a successful year for us, and the members. Hopefully, Mikey's child will be lucky for us. :D

Tale care, and Cheers!

Macheda was injured for 3/4 of the season. He scored 1 goal against Chelsea. He played like 5-6 games this season.

Btw, new boy Chicharito scored against Holland (H)

That's an awesome header... He's very small but his positioning and runs are very well timed and well executed. 5 goals in 9 games.

EDIT: Btw, Nani's goal against Arsenal has been counted as his (previously counted as an OG) and Carrick's goal against Portsmouth as well. So overall, Berbatov has managed to outscore OGs :D

Welcome back :)

Thanks. BTW, nice Roo sig. :D

So, I used the PES Kits. I thought they were looking pretty good. May update as soon as the official pics come in.

Chicharito seems to be a player with a tiny structure, but that goal was actually very goo, as he almost crept in there unnoticed. He can be good. Very good, actually. Hope he gets his work permit sooner rather than later.
