I think both are awesome. In Rooney's goal the ball was coming at high speed. It is difficult directing such kind of crosses directly in the net without controlling the ball. Whereas in that other player's goal, it was from a rebound, so it was easier to kick the ball since the ball was at relatively low speed. However, the other player's goal is from almost the edge of the box... Thats a long distance for an overhead kick.

Yeah he had more time overall, but the ball was coming in at a faster pace, at least it seemed like it did to me. Its almost like throwing the ball in the air yourself and then trying to do an overhead kick compared to having somebody cross from the side and try to do an overhead kick. You might have more time watching the guy cross then see the ball drop from over your head, but its harder to pull off.

Well the ball was definitely traveling faster to Rooney, but Marchisio had to react almost instantly, because it started so close to him. To react instantly with an overhead kick is pretty remarkable.

But whatever... Rooney's is more impressive, the precision he needed not to mention in that situation, was just incredible.

I agree that situationally, Rooney's was much much much more better, and will be remembered because of that whilst Marchisio's won't be.

The best part about Marchi's for me was the speed of reflex and power behind it

It was a great goal but i personally prefer the volley that he scored against Newcastle a few seasons back at Old Trafford hitting a volley with the ball falling from the air.

Oh and tits.
both are great goals.rooneys goal for me was a decisive one due to occasion and the pleague case.when i saw that goal u know it created a vibration absolutely magical.had i been a city fan i would accept the defeat with a smile for that moment of genius.it could decide the title race and about marchisio he is one of my favourite italian players.i hope juve do everything possible to keep him with a good contract.

He must be very tired after the Asia trip, he was bound to pick up a knock somewhere. The good news is that Valencia is training with the reserves! We need him and Nani in full form for the title run-in.

I don't think Valencia will reach anything approaching his top form this season, if he even plays.

You know how our guys are in coming back from big injuries...it's a long, long process. I hope he isn't rushed or overused.

There has been talk that Eljero Elia wants to leave Hamburg this summer, so I'd love to see us go after him as another option on the wing since Giggs will probably only play another year.

Really? He has always struck me as a player with loads of potential. He is quick on the ball and has lots of speed. He plays well for Holland whenever he makes appearances.

But honestly, I think we need to see more of Obertan and Bebe before we can decide if we need another winger. We'll also (hopefully) have Cleverley coming back who I am really excited about and Park who is always solid.

But I'm not so sure about Nani long-term, and the only reason I say that is, I fear he might be swayed to leave if a big salary offer comes in from somewhere else.

one thing is certain that u do not need a striker.from my point of view u dont need a winger also well unless theres a good left footed player. u had that serbian player oh ya tosic he looks decent enough and has good potential.but ur main concern should be a star central midfielder.gourcuff would be great but i dont know he has few problems maybe.and one more thing about a goal keeper hugo lloris may be on the way to old trafford but i dont see a problem in kuczak or watever his name is

I love how the newspapers are all reporting for United to field a very strong side and then mention Brown, O'Shea, Obertan, Bebe, Hernandez, Carrick, Da Silvas as those likely to start. Surely, there was no possibility of us fielding a reserve team to the reserve team, was there?

BTW Chelsea lost to Everton on penalties. Hopefully they got a few tiring knocks having played 120 minutes. But this means that our game with them will no be reschedule and we will play it right in the middle of the run-in. But on the bright side, they are still struggling with scoring. I'd be happy if we get 3 points out of 6 from those 2 games.

As long as we dont pull an exeter city.

Btw, does anyone think nani has not been gettin the credit and recognition he deserves for the season he has had so far. He has been outstanding and yet the media are talking about gareth bale..nasri as potential players of the season. Really annoys me at times how our players are so under-rated.

Anyway, cant wait for crawley. Hope to see few of our youngsters in particular pogba and king.
