Toothless in attack in all honesty. SAF has got to change it. We need carrick and fletch in the midfield and obviously the injuries are not helping.

Well yet again, thanks to the broadcast regulations - I can't see it. I'm following it on Soccer Saturday.

Personally I think the lot of them need a rocket from Fergie - because based on the past couple of games, our season's in danger of going Liverpool.

good thing ur not watching mikey.. we don't look like we are gonna score. we were playing 3-5-2 and it was painful to watch. Fergie reverted it to 4-4-2 and we are looking slightly dangerous.

fletcher an carrick are our CBs by the way.

I feel like throwing something at the TV already, Paul Merson is loving it on Sky, 3-0. This is nothing short of an embarrasment.

I know we're ravaged with injuries but surely United can beat Fulham, at least not lose 3-0?

It's plainly obvious to me that we need a player who can give United a spark and change a game. Someone like Ribery or Aaron Lennon. Valencia is a good winger and Obertan has potential, but we lost the best player in the world - and clearly (despite my protestations to the contrary) we have not come anywhere near replacing him.

With the older players reaching the end of the line, United need a MAJOR influx of proven quality to help the (admittedly talented) youngsters. As Arsenal have proved, potential doesn't bring success - only when it's married to quality.

played like kids lol

Yeah, why the **** didn't we sign somebody big to replace Ronaldo right? Should have bought Ribery or Fabregas or Messi or Lampard at least.

The defensive injuries are taking their toll and every position on the pitch, too bad really, it came at a worst time possible and by the time the backline comes back, we might just run out of games. Good to have Fabio back, he can make a world of difference in attack, as Fletcher just sits back and Valencia then has to do everything himself on the right. It was a bad lineup really, no width to our play, Evra had the task of playing alone on the left and Valencia alone on the right and 6 players playing in the middle for no reason.

I think we were looking for a quintuple last season.

It's crazy that United is still in a second place with these fantastic results.

You'd the think that with only one defensive player on the pitch, the keeper, you'd at least score a goal.

City's defense sucks but they give us 4-3's and ****. City's the Paris to your Nikki.

City's defense might suck, but they don't have to use Ireland and Barry in the back four. Having only one defender forces our starting midfield play in defense, which doesn't allow us to control the midfield (the backbone of our team), this in turn forces our forward to play further back, which takes away from attack and add to the fact that every player has to work that much harder because there is just nobody to back them up, you end up with a 3-0 away loss to a strong side like Fulham. Credit to them, they were on top form today and i don't think they put a single foot in wrong, executed the game perfectly. But you are right, we should have scored one goal in the close stages of the game, confidence contributed to that a bit im sure.

I'm glad I missed the game afterall... 3-0 is embarassing. But not surprising when you have 7 defenders out and having a defence of De Laet - Fletcher - Carrick - Evra.

And I wouldn't attribute this loss because we don't have a Ronaldo or Ribery but rather that we have been unlucky with a massively depleted defence forcing midfielders to play defence.

These are the kind of results which we can't do much about it, like Villa, Fulham attacked our weaknesses and it worked out well for them, like Help just said, we aren't playing our normal system, it's all set-up to help the defence as much as possible, which in result makes us toothless upfront. With the problems we have at the back it is difficult to get good results. As I said earlier, considering the situation we are in, we are in a decent position, that can only get better once a we have a few defenders back, you can look any way you want to, but with the problems we are having we are still close to the Renties.....

Eventhough this was a bad game and result, I can fully understand the difficulties we are having atm....

Agreed with everything you said.

And to those who are saying its "Fergie's fault" for not replacing Ronaldo: Seriously, how would Ronaldo ease our current situation? Should he play in defence?? We were doing very well before we got into this defensive crisis.

Our run of bad form is due to some very significant injuries in defence, not because we lack a superstar. Its very surprising how we could still win some games (3-0, 4-1, 3-1) with virtually no defenders.

Well, our backs are against the wall now. If we lose one more, it's going to be very, very difficult. If we lose 2 more it's over.

Oh well. 3 titles in a row is quite an accomplishment and I never had much hope for this season anyway.

I'd rather be nikki anyway. At least she's got some shread of dignity in tact.

I know we have a defensive crisis and all, but 3-0 is a bit too much. We did not create a single proper chance in the whole game and almost all of our shots were pathetic long shots that gave the Fulham fans in the stadium a good laugh. Embarrassing..
