He had a back-injury, even before he joined us and SAF mentioned right from the start that, because of that he won't be involved for about three months. That time has come now. He has been playing reserve games and has impressed. It won't be long before we see him in the first team. My guess is the next Carling Cup game....

Im gonna say this, but isnt because he's from Benfica... If he in the end go to a Big English club, in the next years he will be a top 5 world player. He has improving a lot!

Both Mascherano and Vidic deserved to be sent off. Frankly, I didn't see any cards which weren't deserved. Maybe a few uncalled ones, but still, Liverpool played better over the course of the game. Neither defender could handle Torres, and they only barely managed to deal with Kuyt and Yossi.

Thoroughly disappointed. I expected more from Rooney. He has been pretty poor for us recently. Was very frustrating at times. His final pass was really bad. Ferdinand...i dunno when hes gonna recover from the "bad patch". All in all, we got over run in midfield and when a player like lucas has an outstanding match, you know you are pretty sh*t. Expected much much better. We missed FLETCHER. It seems that whenever he doesnt play in the big games for us...we do not win.

We actually missed a defensive midfielder to stop them from attacking in the middle. Fletcher or Hargreaves would've done the job. Hargreaves is coming back in 6 weeks btw... Thats good news. Valencia was the best player for us today. He fought for the ball and tried hard to get past defenders. He was unfortunate to hit the bar.
