He's openly criticized Bridge, Toure and Lescott already, citing them as the reasons behind our leaky defence, and we had a double training session yesterday to focus on defensive improvement, good start. But like MaestroZidane said, he's also hyping Robinho up a lot, begging him to stay and help "make history" at the club. If his big name gets him a starting role over Bellamy, who has been our best player by far this season, then I'd be pissed.

Starting to think that the main reason Hughes was sacked was because in the end, he just couldn't handle the big-name stars properly. Against Sunderland, you had Robinho (32.5M) and Adebayor (20M+) both on the bench due to poor form, while Toure struggled on the pitch. The Sheikhs probably think Mancini can get the best out of them, whereas Hughes was suited more to players like Given, Bellamy, SWP, etc.

Agree, but Lescott really played like a boot since he arrived to City and i just can't recognize him, where is that great player who played for Wolfes and Everton.......

Mancini is very, very overrated. In fact, I don't rate him at all. Rony said it best, the scandal set Milan and Juve back and gave Merda a free ride to the Scudetto.
overrated by whom? I agree that he is not very good, but I don't think you'll find many Interistas overrating him ... and apart from Samp and Lazio where he has history, he certainly isn't / wasn't considered anything special by other fans or club presidents ... and when his peers gave Spalletti and Prandelli each the manager of the year award during the two seasons Mancini won the title on the pitch, it was clear they didn't rate him that much either -- well, they certainly didn't rate him enough for anyone to call him "overrated" ...

Inter was so boring under Mancini.

Though he is the master of cup tournaments. If I recall it right, he won Italian Cup with Lazio, Fiorentina and Inter.

so maybe he can do something big in Carling or FA Cup.

Rumours continue to fly. Mancini and Cook telling the press everything's ok in the dressing room, while reports claim that Bellamy and Given are on the brink of handing in transfer requests (Bellamy and Mancini already had a heated argument during that double training session because of Bellamy's knee issues or some ****). Wonder what's gonna happen versus Stoke this Saturday, should tell us a lot about the character of this club really.

I think City had to start this season with a big coach but it wasn't right to sack Hughes before new year.

I think Hughes had a good connection with his players, that's impressing.

I wonder how Mancini City will look like ..

and especially with lots of strikers around him.

I think City will just buy defenders this summer.

Wasn't the best game to watch today, but a clean sheet? **** ya, good for you Mancio. Took him 1 week with the club to realize Kompany's our best CB. Barry had his best game in well over a month, while Robinho looked like a joke on the field. Definitely looks like he wants out, all the passion's out of his game. ****in kid.

It's Mancini's style and you can't say it's wrong while he gets the three points.

And about Robinho, the guy is ridiculous. He left Real and Santos in a exact same way.

Capello should be happy about Gareth's form.

edit: Tevez scores with ease lately, I'm happy for him. he was really under pressure for a while when he said he will quit football after WC.

2 games, 6 points, 2 clean sheets... all in 3 days. Welcome, Mancio. Kompany in central defense is critical, he's making up for Toure's slack. Hopefully he's a mainstay, even when Lescott's back. Garrido got 0 appearances under Hughes, 2 sub appearances in 2 games with Mancio, scores a nice freekick (H)

And don't get me started on Tevez. I want to penetrate those wound-holes in his neck.

God that was one beautiful freekick. And if only Tevez would've put that one away - the most beautiful counter attack with a couple of long defense-cracking passes opened it totally up for him. One touch -passes, too.
