this is getting really annoying

I'm in my third season with City, finished 4th last season, and SWP has been outstanding the whole time... he's asking for a new contract, and I can only offer him £37K a week, he wants like 80K, and I'm thinking go **** yourself

anyways, the media keeps asking me about SWP and the chances of him staying at City

the first time, I said whoever wants him has to spend big bucks, and he got disappointed that those comments are hurting his chances of moving to a bigger club

so they ask me again and I said that it's gonna be hard to keep a player of his calibre away from big clubs, so he got disappointed that his future at the club is in doubt

days later, ask me again, I say the same thing as the first time and again he gets disappointed

WTF? make up your ****in mind about if you wanna stay or leave already he's also handed in a transfer request twice, both rejected... but when I say he will be leaving to the media, he gets sad

give him a stint in the reserves

thats what i did with scott severin at aberdeen, he wanted 9k a week i could only offer 4 and he had celtic and sunderland watching him so i put him in the reserves for a few weeks and he ended up accepting about 3.5k a week!

but it's SWP, he's my best player... even if I do have Zidan as a suitable right winger, I cant leave SWP out

now every time they ask me about him, I refuse to comment... working for now, he's not upset

I changed his transfer status from "do not wish to sell this player" to "no status set"

Barcelona are interested in him, but SWP's value is a good 17.5M

Talking about salaries. Steven Gerarrd, Zidan and couple other players requested better contaract in my game, but they still have good 2,3 or evnen 4 years untill the end of their contracts so should I just tell them to screw themslefs or what???

after much consideration, Shaun is heading to Barcelona in June, 2007 for £17M Zidan will be a good replacement for him, although the big teams are starting to bid... Arsenal bid 7.4M and his release clause is 7.5M

Players will more likely sign a contract with min. release clause though, I generally give them one of 180 million €...

lol. I give realistic min fees just so i have to sell them when a realy good offer comes for them i cant reject

I usually offer decent wages with gigantic min release fees. Some players request them, so i put something like 200 M, they end accepting so what the hell. When i have a player who is performing, i dont sell.

You may end up thinking you could do a lot with the money but usually your replacement always turns out to be under par in comparison to the previous player. That always happens with my strikers at least.

well one reason i didnt sell him was that i couldnt find an easy to get striker to replace him too who is at a good age (25<)
