Make Players Play Differently

1. The game is to generalised the a lot of players are of the same ability.- Stats need to be increased to 100 and make more skill attributes. eg pass should be split in to a number of attributes like in pes- accuracy power long short. Also ball control should be made in terms of a number of attributes- first touch control stats.
Basically they should take a leaf out of pro evos book- dribble speed,accuracy etc. if they dont want it to look like pro evo, they could put it in percentages
-PLAYER EXAMPLE: thierry henry should have good dribbling accuracy 90%, good first touch 87%, good passing 80%, excellent speed 98%, acceleration 99%, concentration 70% in terms of the game progressing and passes and shots going asstray, movement 78% losing marker/giving passer option, power 90%
Rio Ferdinand- movement 80% in terms of defence tracking attackers, pass 80% header 83%, tackle reach 90%,tackle speed 83%, Reaction 78% reaction to danger.
Rui Costa- Vision 93% means that he will know when to shoot and when to pass. teamwork 90% means unselfish a passer

2. AI and in game- the ai of the game really needs to be improved and the game needs to feel like ur involved and that what u do doesnt always affect the outcome of the game. (Chess)

tactics need to play a more prominent role
This should include positioning, movement, man marking and covering, now u may say pro evo but it is basic football first of all.
you should be able to determine how your players move around the pitch to a certain extent and the rest down to player attributes eg u could postion RUDE van nistleBOY in a centre forward position which is his best positionn and his player attribute (movement) determines how he moves around the penalty area and where he is positioned, but when u tell him to attack right all of time from a centre starting postion he will be going to that position when his team is in possesion of the ball. according to his stats (which would be good for movement), he will be good at finding space and eluding markers, equally, if there is a defender with good movement, he will know how to track the attacker. and so on with midfield movement .

-Also teams should have certain styles of play and the computer ai should be cleverer. eg. Arsenal at home may go at teams and attack early and quickly, with the wing backs pushing on past the midfielders at times and two holding midfielders, with one striker playing deeper than the other; . there should be at least 8 basic general playing styles within each formation, and from there you can deviate between how much certain players attack, defend, mark or move. you could obviously change during the match, and the computer controlled team should be able to change things around referring to where troubles are caused etc. teams should also change formation before matches, in relation to player reputations or team reputations. this would make the game more interesting

3. Animation- flowing gameplay. they need a wider variety of animations, to cover different players.
-running styles thierry henry dribbles with the front of the boot, pires runs with the in sole.

the better dribblers should be able to manouver better inside and outside than other players
u should also be able to knock the ball in front of you to chase the ball.
they also need better headers in terms of how hard the crosses are and the angle the ball is in how far ahead of the marker you are, the strength of the players who are challenging, and u should be able to direct ur headers and there should also be a load up bar for the headers

they need to stop scripting all of the gameplay

hard passes are not always follow by first time hard passes or shots as they are inaccurate - show this in the game

the player runs are a good idea but when the ball is delivered, you should not have full control as to where the ball is put, the better players should put the ball around the area of the player, the only thing you should determine is the power and curl on the ball. The accuracy of the passing and particuarly through passes should be determined by the ability of the players, good passers will put the ball into a place where the attacker can reach the ball, excellent passers will put it the exact place where a player can shoot first time or take more touches.

They also need more variety of shots side footers, toed shots if the ball is in front of u, curlers, power striker, outside of the boot.

U should b able to block shots by lifting your foot

more variety of tackles: two footers, scissor tackles, snatches, slide tackles. Maybe put an elbow in there.

also players need stats to rise, and for potential stars to get better
