Madden Stadiums in FIFA? Possible?

This is the progress. Yes we are able to extract models in FBX format with FIFA Editor 22 + Original Madden game. I imported some of the models to Blender.

Wait a sec, you said some? Yes. There are model parts tied to empties (eg. lower stands tied to standlower_mesh).
More than half of them are placed correctly. But some of them as you see in the picture below, sit in the middle. They should be placed manually. Tedious

The models have correct UVmaps.

But, where are the textures? Textures are in a separate container. So you need to find the correct texture for these on your own. This is the same principal with FIFA 22. With FIFA Editor 22 I think it's possible to extract models this way.

One more news: This one was private, but as I learned how to do it on my own; months ago me and a friend of mine found that FIFA 21 models could be fetched the same way. And guess what? The principle of them is similar with Madden's: Separate models, textures at another place, some models sit in the middle.

So, right now I'll leave this (at least for a week or two), because I have other duties. I lost some motivation as the textures are not attached and some models sit in the middle. It will take rigorous time and energy.

Friend I'm trying to extract a stadium from FIFA 21, what is the correct way? And another question, which file should I export

Thanks...

Remapping is the small part. When you have a good model then it is sacrificable. Bigger problem is some models are incorrectly exported. I can share the blend file with people who are interested.

Let's see the entrepreneurs of this business. I am sending you the stadiums.

If you are patient at replacing models then rest should be easy.
Badger,

I wonder if you can help here, I'm so stuck. I have been modding Fifa 22 (scarves, flags etc...) but unfortunately cannot figure out how to export stadium models (fbx).

I tried to export "Fifaphysicsasset" files as XML (the only way to export them in Fifa Editor Tool) and renaming them fbx but Blender will not recognize these files:

These are mainly to modify "Create a Club" assets. Would appreciate any help, thanks a lot for your work as always.

I have managed to find the FBX models and export them, it was quite easy. It was just a matter of digging around in the end. This is the method I have used, using the "Create a Club" generic_british_194 stadium (for which I have added adboards, scarves, flags, crest etc).

In the directory "Content > Worlds > Stadiums > generic_british_large_194 > generic_british_large_194 (yes twice)" you will find a file called "MeshVariationDb_Win32". Clicking on it will allow you to explore the assets tied to the stadium, like so:

Right-clicking on a mesh asset, will allow you to explore the asset in the Data Explorer, like so:

Finally from the Data Explorer it is possible to export the asset as fbx, and subsequently open this in Blender or 3D editor of your choice:

From here, providing you have the necessary skills (which very few people have!), it is possible to edit the model in Blender or 3D editor, and I assume it is possible to re-import it into the Database. I have not tested this, but I think it is possible to import the edited version.

You can also export and edit the textures tied to the stadium and completely customise your "Create a Team" career (something I am working on, which requires a lot of hours). However, finding someone skilled (like Badger) to edit the stadium is very rare, and "normal" modders cannot do this work.

Here is a model of the stadium railings shown in Blender:

Going by this I think stadium importing/exporting should be somewhat feasible task. I hope it helps.

Interesting, did you also find the attached textures? This is some good progress. Now it's my turn to ask questions...
Yes, the textures are referenced when browsing the model's properties, specifically in "Materials > (Number) > Shader (asset directory)", you can see here:

You can also export meshes like I have shown in my post above, by right-click and "Export Meshes," although the right meshes will not be exported in this case. It is necessary to browse all the model's properties to find what is going on.

In the image above you can also see that the texture referenced in this particular case, for the stadium's seating area, is located in "Content > Worlds > Materials etc..". Clicking on the SurfaceShaderPreset asset will allow one to see the textures used. Here I double click on "concrete_stands_a_color" (I did not include a coefficient texture in this case), bring it up in the explorer window and export it from there.

You can see a somewhat complete model in Blender in the image below, with textures included. It is important to understand that the stadiums in the game are not built from one single model, but rather are "stacked" from different bits and pieces. The stadium here is made up of the following:

1) roof_mesh.fxb
2) standsupper_mesh.fxb
3) standslower_mesh.fxb
4) railings_mesh.fxb
5) exterior_facade_mesh.fxb

Here is a download link with the complete model for interested users to peruse.

Finally, I am not a modeller. Editing these models, as experts know, is quite involved work. FInding the directory is only a very small part of the game here. I can barely navigate in Blender! I am like a child trying to use this program! So imagine what someone with great competence can do with these models...

Hope it helps.
