Limewire Problem

Since a few days I have a little problem with the programme called "Limewire". I'm pretty sure more people here have heard of it/know it/or maybe even work with it?

I have always been able to work with it in a very good way, but now I ran into a small problem. I attached a picture in this post in which I highlight the problem. Limewire says it's busy making the connection, but for some reason the connection is never being made.

[Next sentence can only be read probably when you have seen the image I attached :tongue:]

It remains red and doesn't turn into green ... does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or what I can do about it? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

So it was working just a few days ok? Your circumstances regarding the way you connect to the internet haven't changed at all? I think i remember reading from some members on here that they failed to connect when using some of the older versions, and a simple update to the latest version solved their issues.

Bearshare was by fav P2P but they went legal! Limewire sucks.

Try changing the ports and port forward that port in your router. Turn off firewalls and try it. Update to new version.

It has always worked indeed. I use it now for about 6 months or so and I never had any problems with it. Obviously I downloaded the latest version, 4.18.2. I also shut everything down concerning firewalls and virus scanners, but still it doesn't give me any connection, while the way I connect to the internet hasn't changed and the rest is all working properly. :)

I have a weird feeling Limewire itself disconnected the Basic version of the programme and that you only can use Limewire in a good way nowadays is when you purchase the Pro Version ... Does that make any sense?

Reactions and suggestions are very welcome though, thanks guys. Better something than nothing at all. ;)
