Has anyone had any problems downloading and installing the patch? Just wondering....

Yeah, I downloaded it 3 or 4 times....
even tried using another .rar unpacker (other than winrar) and that didn't work either..... And that is a shame cause I was really looking forward to playing in the Argentine League....

ok people, I have found the problem...
From this link: http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/soccergaming/FifaPeru/PatchesFP/ you will have to select the file that says (PatchLigaArgentina_by_FG.exe 20-May-2005 04:38 258M). THAT is the file that has been eluding us. I have NO idea what the V1 file is all about... Hope this helps all...

If someone can understand, maybe they could relay the following error I get when I try to install this patch:
data\audio\music\s05.asf
This file contains invalid data.

Does anyone know if the patch overwrites any existing leagues already in the game ?
I think the patch at http://www.ligafifa.com.ar writes over the French League.
I just installed this patch and after a few minor tests it appears to work great!
Since it was in Spanish, I had to install just a little differently.
I did a fresh install of FIFA 2005.
Ran the Patch_LA05_v2.0 from www.ligafifa.com.ar changing the install directory from Archivos de programa to C:Program Files/Ea Sports/FIFA 2005 or where ever you installed FIFA 2005.
I replaced the GUI folder in FIFA 2005/data with the original from the game.
Replaced the eng file in FIFA 2005/data/cmc/fe with the spa file from the patch. Make sure to rename this spa file to eng.
Everything seems to work fine except for the in-game logos on the menu screens but you should be able to update them in CC. Not sure if all of the steps I took are the best or even necessary but it worked for me.

How long did it take to download the Liga V2 patch?
I started downloading the patch at 8 am EST. It's 12:30 pm EST and only 2%! has been downloaded.... What gives?!?

Yes, you must use the SPA file from the patch and follow the steps I posted earlier. Let me know if you don't understand my directions. This should change the names from the French team to the Argentine names.
It seems to work ok with CC for me. But I try not to use CC too much anyway since it still has bugs. Still can't update banners with CC.
