Starts tomorrow in Monaco. For me this is one of the real sport highlights of the year. I think it's very open this year, quite few has the chance to win it, maybe 5-6 riders have a fair chance.

The one thing I love about Le Tour is how they have nicknames for every rider....ex: Thor Hushovd = The God of Thunder.

Well that's because his first name(Thor) is the name of the ancient German god of thunder.

If Lance wins this, I'm going to buy a yellow jersey and find a way of putting Armstrong's name on it.

He has a good chance of winning. Contador is the real threat. But I believe Lance's form peak will keep on rising and the Alpes, he will be very solid. The last week will be very interesting, history can be in the making!

Oh c'mon, an old man of 39 years of age who hasn't rode professionally for 4 years won't win from a guy who has won the Giro, Tour and Vuelta in a little more than a year. I even dare to say Armstrong would already be minutes behind Contador if the two of them weren't in the same team. I think in the Alpes it will become clear that Contador is by far the best climber(of the whole peleton as far as that goes).

Maybe yes, maybe not. After all, it's Lance. If you know what I mean.

But yeah, Contador at some points looks like his flying in the mountains.

Contador outplayed the rest of the group today. His attack was so soft, he climbed on the last hill so easily. Armstrong was so weak this time. He has no chance to win it eighth time IMO. Only a miracle can save him.

Der er et yndigt land,
det står med brede bøge
nær salten østerstrand
nær salten østerstrand
Det bugter sig i bakke, dal,
det hedder gamle Danmark
og det er Frejas sal
og det er Frejas sal!

Well what did I tell you? I never really understood why people actually believed Armstrong would win the Tour.

Contador is the new Armstrong in the peloton.

Anyone been watching/following bartape.net? It's a web series documenting Cervelo Test Team's season this year. Thus far they've released episodes through the giro (I know, way slow, but whatever) and I'm assuming the first tour episode is only a week or two out.
It's a really interesting look into the dynamics of a professional cycling team. Phenomenal photography and they do a good job at looking at everything else besides the racing itself. I'd especially recommend the Milan-San Remo episode.
