Bridges of Spies was grand, in the specimen of "good".

But "The Revenant" was quality. No review needed, those who like it they'll know. :P

The new Macbeth was decent. Other than the change to the 'moving' forest they didn't really make any noteworthy changes other than a heavy-handed focus on fatherhood and Fassbender's choice to go for a PTSD Macbeth was interesting but not from a performance standpoint. The film was visually stunning though, can't remember the last time I was so impressed with the cinematography.

You can put it all into words way better than I can... But since I'm quoting that particular sentence - see The Revenant whenever you can find the time. Same could be said about that one.

Dawn of the Dead was such a waste of time. I regret watching it.

The Martian though was very entertaining. I'll put this in my top picks along with Spotlight. Ridley killed this one and the casting was perfect.

I quote liked Burnt, and was surprised to see that so few critics agreed. That said, I think plenty of highbrow critics consider Bradley Cooper below them, regardless of the movie.

I thought Cooper also nailed the role in it. I've worked with my share of chefs, and he had that pretty well spot on. I guess Ramsay has made the public more aware of what plenty of chefs are like in their kitchens.

Haha, the title certainly does make you think twice doesn't it? The title is taken from the lyrics of a blues song Carlos*son sings during the movie.

Going to watch Tetro tonight. I've seen the majority of the film but now I'll see it in it's entirety. It's really good, I recommend it.

Are we discussing Hateful Eight anywhere? I went to see the big 70mm special presentation. I liked it - hadnt done any advance research so it took me by surprise, expected something big and expansive like Django or IB, but instead it was tight, simple and claustrophobic. As with Reservoir Dog, the script could so easily be a stage play. Some of the characters were a little under-developed for my liking - just like in KB2, he gave his old buddy Madsen a kind of pathetic part, and Tim Roth seemed to be doing a mediocre impression of Waltz in Django, but Sam Carlos*son had a truly great character. Really great. I like the film more on reflection than as I was watching it, when I was still a little unsure. I was expecting more big crescendos which didnt come, but finally I dont feel the film suffered for this. Photography is beautiful, though it seems funny he used his most special cameras ever on such an small scale, much interior, few locations film.

Anyone else seen it? Seems not to have caused he hype of other Tarantino releases, maybe due to Star Wars.

I want to watch Hateful Eight but not in cinema as The Wolf of Wall Street and The Martian have made me really wary of long-ass films.

Yeah and this is a slow burner. But long films are better in the cinema, you get more minutes per dollar, I thought you of all people would appreciate this

No because I get poocorn and a large drink and 3 hours makes is difficult to sit through the whole thing and I hate leaving in the middle. When i was kid they used to have intermission for just this very reason.
