Have you seen Black Mass? I haven't yet, but most reviews and critics have said that it's Depp's most compelling movie performance in ages in terms of acting and movie quality itself.

Yeah I have to agree with you. I just checked his upcoming projects on IMDb and everything apart from Black Mass is along the same lines as his other movies that have come out in recent years.

I started thinking and the last movies that I could call at least decent by him were "F&LiLV", "Donnie Brasco", "Blow" and "Finding Neverland". The latter dates back to 2004. Okay the first pirate movie was also somewhat watchable, but I don't think it deserves 10 sequels.

EDIT: Check out the Black Mass trailer. I think he seems to get the "psycho role" pretty much spot on and should do more stuff like that. Looks promising.

Effects, graphics is for games. And yeah, Jar Jar Abrams did pay an homage to the original star wars. But the old and new characters were great, the story was cohesive, and the ending, is suposed to be open to interpretation. But goddamn it, chewbacca screaming at the death of his best friend, fuck me, that hurt me so much, I felt like when I read the red wedding. I'm still so sad...

I wanted to see more about Luke, Kylo, Snoke, what happened between them etc, the waiting was enormous and they didn't really reveal shit. We saw the episode 4 with better graphics. another death star wasn't needed, really.

How did Snoke seduce Kylo/Ben to the dark side? Was uncle Luke so distracted (and why) during his training that he never noticed this dark presence slipping in? Yoda and Obi Wan did (with Anakin).
What did Snoke offer him other than power? I doubt it was only about that, especially if you need it for something (Anakin saving his wife). what did Kylo/Ben need the power for? Luke ended everything in Episode VI, what the fuck happened after that? How did Han and Luke disappoint Kylo/Ben and what was that about Kylo Ren and Darth Vader, he was such a fanboy and only wanted to be better than Vader and finish his work.

I see some people blaming Luke for hiding. I don't think that is actually wrong. If something big happened then it makes sense to go find the first Jedi temple and hide for a while. Yoda and Obi Wan did it.

That scene with Han, Chewie and Kylo was really sad, I fucking hate that **** now.

I wanted more Poe.

and... I'm guessing Luke is Rey's father. and the ending scene, no comment. Yes, that was good by Mark Hamill, but I was expecting more. didn't say a word, looked like a broken man and Rey was nervous.

Adam Driver's performance was awesome. Really curious what's gonna happen with Kylo Ren, in some ways he reminded me of Anakin. He'll surely be a much better and darker villain in the next 2 parts.


At the beginning of the film Rey barely even knows what the force is, and is staring in awe to Han as he explains that "it's real" and like a few days later she's penetrating the mind of a powerful Knight of Ren, using Jedi mind tricks on stormtroopers and using the force to pull the lightsaber away from Kylo Ren, AND KICK HIS FUCKING ASS. Kylo Ren's ass, who had training with Luke, Snoke etc.That was too much. way too much.

Daisy Ridley looks a bit like Keira Knightley when she smiles, was surprised to find out Oscar Isaac is playing Apocalypse in the upcoming X-Men movie.

Was wondering about Snoke as well, where did this supreme evil leader come from after the death of the Emperor.

Could see the death coming when Han confronted him, afterall Kylo Ren couldn't turn that easily. I guess it was necessary to develop the Kylo Ren character for the future episodes and how he moves even more into the Dark Side.

Vader's helmet was burnt with his body during the end of Return of the Jedi, so it may comes across a little puzzling as to how Kylo Ren managed to get the remains of the helmet.

Poe was underused and Captain Phasma as well, nice chrome trooper outfit but didn't do much in the film.

Spotlight has got to be the best film this year in my opinion.

The Hateful Eight was very entertaining!! Don't really know a lot of Tarantino movies but the movie was like 2 hours or so but you wont really notice the length. I kinda wanted more to be honest.

Revenant was so boring. Leo acted well but the movie was really boring

STAR WARS. Big fan, watched it 5 times in the cinemas. I think the movie was great! Although it was very similar to Ep. IV still I think theres big potential for it. Anyone heard of the Kylo Ren theory already?

I've seen the edge of tomorrrow, not a very good movie but loved her there. I think chicks that look like dead fish attracts me in some way..

definitely gonna see sicario.

Sicario was a good watch. Toro's character was my favorite. I honestly was expecting more shootings and gore tbh hahaha but over all it was good. Lot of boring coonversations..... more of the Cartels would have been nice.

Brides of Spies anyone?? Oh and Lobster!! was really a messed up movie. I really thought everything was just role playing lmao but Seydoux is really hot lmao I never realized she was hot till I watched Spectre than Lobster. More of her pls.

Creed is very cheesy. Predictable and over-hyped in my opinion.
