Bojan Krkic is a Serbo-Spanish youth footballer who plays for Barcelona FC in Spain. He was born in Linyola (Lleida), Spain on August 28, 1990. His father, who holds the same name, was a well known footballer in Serbia, where he played for Crvena zvezda during the 1980’s, but without managing to become a regular at the Belgrade giant. His son Bojan Krkic junior is regarded as one of the best young players in Europe and is reputed to have bagged over 800 goals at junior levels for the Catalan giants. The Spanish press, who calls him “Bojan Krkic-Perez”, due to his Catalonian mother, celebrates the little boy already as a “wunderkind”. The 16 year old with astonishing technical and scoring abilities chose to play for the Spanish U17 selection last summer, instead of opting for Serbia, but according to his father, the decision in which national team he will play at the senior level is not clear yet. He shot to prominence at the UEFA European Under 17 Championships in Luxembourg in May 2006 when he was joint top-scorer.
