juce_66 and robbie i really need ur help can u release a patch to fix the slow down issue or is it konami only that can do that please help me i played the demo very well on high 1280x1024 but full version on same settings slow downs
my rig p4 3ghz , 2 gb ram , 8600 gts , xp sp2

Thanks juce, the new lodmixer worked a treat, 1680 x 1050 with a round ball was quite a pleasant experience to say the least... Just makes you wonder why Konami can't do it....

After all, you basically saved Pes6 for me and after the last post I saw, maybe even Pes 08 - gotta be worth a bit of effort from me, surely...

yeah, i'm way out of the UK about 11 hours on the plane going west. For a PCI-E card i'd have to change the motherboard as well, and i'm not sure i like PES2008 that much ... But thanks again for a gracious offer. It's quite unexpected and refreshing to see that on these forums.

I haveing problems with Lodmixer. If its not any different between 640 x 480 or 1900 x 1200. And I have saved the config file. When I entered for example 1900 x 1200 in the text file and then save. When I opend the settings file a popup appears witch says:

"Do you want to enable ALL quality level, including those which aren´t officially supported by your graphics card".
Doesent mather if I press Yes or No here I can only change between the original res.

Any ideas?

You have to set the resolution in kitservers config.txt
and delete the #
example:

Ok, fair enough No, no probs, your work is greatly appreciated mate and I had a spare graphics card that I didn't mind mailing to you (just got a GTX out of work to replace my gts that I had to use in one of the machines there, thought I could pass the good fortune onto someone deserving!). When i lunch setup the current state of Game executable (PES2008.exe) is:
"Unknown EXE-file, this is not a valid excutable of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008!"

I have the orignal version.

The Kit server version is: 7.0.0.0f - Thanks!!

Konami Has Lock 'low' Settings On 30 Fps

Have you try playing on low settings? Maybe this will be your favorite mod!

There is one great fact i discovered today while playing on low. THE GAME IS SET TO 30 FPS! It is never going above 30 fps. There are no slowdowns. Game is going on fluidly. Yea, i know it is 30fps, but it is stabile and players are very detailed. Problem is: there is no crowd and field's patterns on grass (strips).

!!!!So, if we can force game to show crowds and strips at low settings, KEEPING 30 FPS, (THE PLAYERS ARE ALLREADY HIGH DETAILED) we will make PES 2008 playable and enjoyable for owners of the most of notebooks and for those without low end graphic card!!!!!!

JUCE, you can solve this issue!!! Please focus here, fix this and let's make PES enjoyable for everyone.

I am playing on Inspiron ati x300 128mb (overclocked) - too hard for medium settings, too eay for low settings (this gap would be perfectly filled up with crowd and patterns)
About lod: i am using ATT for more detailed textures. It works fine.

Once more: KONAMI HAS LOCK 'LOW' SETTINGS ON 30 FPS

I can't play in medium mode because of my grafic card, so if LOD mixer allow me to have pattern and kit textures of the medium or high mode, it would be nice to play. I think it's the crowd who take a lot of memory...

For the kit texture in LOW mode, it's not just something with resolution, there is no crease and reflection on the kits!

I assume you have installed Konami's Patch that, after installation, has changed the PES2008.Exe-file which makes it not compatible anymore with the latest kitserver version.

We simply have to wait until Juce releases a new version.

Ingame, 3d model of a kit is a mix between the bin of each team and a bump.
For the grass, it's a mix of a texture and a pattern. (and something similar for the ball?)

In LOW settings I think to reduce memory, bump and pattern are not used by the 3d model... Kits look like a cell shading!!!

You said before that there is 3 LOD, so if I play in LOW details, will the 3d model keep the bump for the kit and pattern for the grass if I increase one of the levels? Or maybe you can do something to force them?

enabling home-away match option

Hi Juce,

Is it possible to enable home-away match option in Konami-Cup, so that we can play that mode like "champions league"?

It's so annoying and ununderstandble why konami don't allow that option!

What i do is to set LOD using Ati tray tools (to -1). As result i have detailed players, with faces visible, more detailed grass, even logos on a chests are visible (on camera wide, on low settings). It would be just fine, if we can force settings to show crowd and strips.
