^^thnx, bro, but I was just looking for that one single incident that I had described.

That's the thing about Champions League. When it was the time for quaterfinals, semifinals or the final, Kaka was given a big rest from Serie A games, while Ronaldo would run his head off trying to secure wins for United against teams like Fulham, Liverpool and Everton. I said before that resting for 2-3 days and 8-10 days makes a big difference and i stand by my desicion. Some might tell me i'm bias, but that's still my opinion.

hmm. Well, it was a pretty bizarre season in the Serie A last year. AC, with the 8 point deduction coupled with their poor performances, were discouraged from competing for any league titles early on, so they just concerned themselves with getting a UCL qualifying spot and winning the UCL rather than fully putting out the effort necessary to win any league cups, while Manu had the FA cup and league title to concern themselves with......that's true, I can't refute that, man.

Again, I don't think that you're biased at all in your views because you can make a legit argument for both (maybe even moreso for Ronaldo), it's just that I personally put a greater premium on UCL accomplishments than I do on league ones. It's probably not reasonable and fair to think like that since the UCL becomes a crapshoot tourney when it hits the knockout stages and it's remarkably harder to be consistently good in an entire league campaign and be inspired by it week in and week out , but that's just the way I feel, man.

imo, league campaign=regular season of your typical North American sport....UCL= the playoffs

Yeah man, that's cool. Its all just a matter of rating different games differently. I rate CL games as big as domestic league games, for you its different, hence different opinions, but i completely understand your point.

He hasnt won nothing yet.

I dont think Kaka is that much of a sure bet. It would be very close with Ronaldo.

good. deserved. Fabregas is next (6)

Yeah okay :fool:

Kaka won the award because AC Milan won the Champions League - mostly thanks to him. He is a talented player, but I prefer to watch Ronaldo because for me he does more visually exciting stuff (like the tricks etc) Kaka is a more direct player in the Ryan Giggs style.

Kaka has a couple of years over Cristiano, so maybe in time Cristiano will be a better player in all aspects. Although I honestly would put Cristiano as first choice in my World XI over anyone.

Personally speaking of Fabregas I don't see what everyone is raving about. He's good - but he isn't best in the world by a long shot, especially with the likes of Messi and Dos Santos still learning their trade.

Anyway the Ballon d'or next season goes to the player who shines in Euro 08 - I guarantee it.
