Jomi i think it´s easier just to import my font, kits, balls, adboards, settings. to Jomi´s great roster (without touching the "linked player" setting of course).

I don't play manager mode but the only thing I know is that even in friendly mode you cannot have more than 30 players pro team otherwise the game crashes back to the desktop...
And none of the teams in my roster patch have more than 30 players...
Now to be sure, one of you guys should simulate a career with a team like fulham or west ham and let's see what happens...
If you carefully back up your database and career files before experimenting,nothing bad can happen...You can always reverse back

By the way, another very sensitive case is player's Id's...If you have 2 players that share the same ID number the game will surely crash...When you work with cmp files, be sure to deselect all the players underlined in red

PS: French LFP 2 is 70% finished...It should be ready tomorrow or Sunday

Which files in particular would I need to back up. Am going to give the simulation thing a go. I just backed up the entire cmn folder just to be safe. Here goes..

your career files are found in the FIFA 08 folder which should be in " your documents " folders

Yes David, I think it's the best solution...
If you know how to work with UniDb or DB master it's really simple because kits, balls, adboards,stadiums have separate tables...So you can import your changes directly over my rosters which are done from the original game
The only sensitive case is the boots which are included in the players table

30 Players per team MM report...

Ok I just simulated a full season using Westham which has 30 players. I didn't release or sell any players so the number was 30 throughout. Got relegated.
Good news is, the game didn't crash after the 1st season. I have now simulated up to 10 games in the 2nd season and its all good.

Jomi thanks for all your feedback mate, i know that with db master i can create individual mini-patches from every single table i think, i did it in the past (fifa 07) but since i´ve been using cm i forgot a little the procedure... could please remind me a little what can i do (an example) with db master and again thanks for all your patience and good will mate.

I remember that with UniDB it was possible to import one or more tables in access format...for ex. you import a new kit table , it will appear as kit(2) or something like that..Then you delete the original kit table and rename the kit(2) in kit and you're done
Should be the same procedure with DbMaster as it has all the import export facilities ...report yourself to the help file

Yes of course I will do the Serie B too...thanks for the link...The problem with rosters is not really to have the transfers done but to find the more satisfying starting 11 with the right player position as if you were the trainer ...making all these " lower " leagues is a lot of work because there are many players missing and mistakes...
I have finished french league 2 today, next will be spain 2 then serie B and then I will take some rest I think

Hey first thanks for this patch,really great,but the problem is that i have installed the first version and i edited some more of my database,if you can be helpfull to tell me how i can put the new stuff without renewing the things what i did will be great

What changes did you make ?
Basically,depending on what you've added, you have 2 solutions...
a. you make cmp files with the new edited leagues into your database
b. you make a cmp file with the things you changed and import that in the last version of the rosters

Later today, I will add 2 new fully updated leagues : French LFP2 and Spanish Liga BBVA...
That was really a lot of work ...Seems that EA people are not interested in having good rosters for lower leagues...

EA works with a such of rating network, with the biggest competitions highly ranked. They have a sort of top twenty:
1) England 1st league 2) Spain 1st league 3) Italy 1 league and further
Thats the reason why the lower leagues are done really bad and some competitions like the Premier League pretty good.

Can't wait mate In the future its maybe better if u release one patch later with all leagues updated, because you have to start each time u create a new patch, a new career.

I still prefer to make regular new versions , so I can go my own pace...
I will do serie B next for sure and then I don't know...if I will continue or how I will continue...

I think you can update some players after you finish Seria B,
updating Adebayor and similar players that are underrated...
