Well, I found the way to fix my problem - grandma's solution: reinstalling fifa 16.

I've made umpteen updates to the game,graphically & by rev mod for 16/17,
so don't know how I will release them all.

It wasn't as if I had given up playing or modding the game just that I didn't get the time to make the releases as I was busy personally.
