Jermaine Jones is Coming Home

Jermaine Jones wants to play for the United States National Team since basically Germany has only played him in 3 games. Granted when you have Frings, Ballack and many more Stunning Midfielders its tough to get playing time.

This is one of the 2 pieces the US MNT needs to fill. A Solid, fast paced CDM, someone who has years International Experience and is reliable in the Midfield unlike (Mastroeni, Edu, and Clark). Now if the US MNT can find a LB they could be pretty solid team.

I swear if Bradley is not talking to him the day of this announcement by Jones then the USSF needs to just go ahead and fire Bradley now and hope we can build some chemistry in almost a year. (Schedule a lot of friendlies). Jermaine Jones needs to be playing the Gold Cup for The USA.

Edit: aah I see, you can switch if it is only friendly matches, what a stupid rules I always thought that once you had represented one national teams first team you were tied down to them for the rest of your career.

Yes he can. The Rules has changed. He has not played in any International Competition in the World Cup, EURO CUP, or Confederations Cup. He has only played 3 friendlies and is currently in the process of switching.

I'm surprised.. that's quite a retarded rule. It shouldn't be possible ; if you decide to play for a national team, you also dedicate your national team career to it. Having the possibility to play for another national team by owning that country's passport is already a good second chance for a player.

It's no worse than Deco playing for Portugal, I know he played for Porto for awhile but he's still only there for playing reasons.

Ask Canadians about national loyalty, they'll give you a laundry list of people who've stabbed Canada in the back.

Whoever says we need to stick to some "Principles" and stick with Clark or Edu or Mastroeni... Lets see how long you keep saying that with Mastroeni's erratic play, Edu's Youth and Inexperience and Clarks ability to pick up Stupid Straight Reds for Useless tackles. Yyou are nuts. The reason he isn't playing a lick for Germany is because who is going to play over Frings? Seriously... How many CDM are better then Frings? 1 maybe 2? Grossi goes to Italy, Subotic goes to Serbia, and Ibisevic goes to Bosnia all would be starting for the USMNT but all left after growing up if not all but most of their life in the US... They got educated, got a life, food, clothing, made a great living and they run back to their home countries instead of playing for the country that got them where they are today...

FIFA needs to change the rules of international play IMO. Dual citizenship is stupid. In Almunia's case, yes he should be able to apply for English Citizenship and be able to play for their international team but players who are 17 run to Europe and get immediate citizenship and are allowed to play with ones international team is wrong... What Ibisevic, Rossi, and Subotic did was wrong and is a lot worst then what Jones is doing. Jones is actually doing was doing what I promoted. He was trying to play for the NT of the country he primarily grew up in and that was Germany but that hasn't worked out so he should have the option of going back... Rossi, Ibisevic, and Subotic all left for the wrong reasons...

Well... Subotic grew up in Germany and the US so why not? Don't know about Ibisevic.

I can understand Jones, he was clearly the best German DM last season, but instead of him players like Weis get called up he totally sucked, atleast after December.
Jones should start to learn English now, he barely speaks it.

they both played for the youth teams and Ibisevic was mad he never got a call up so Serbia gave him his wish and then Subotic got chased off by the youth coach crying his work ethic or some crap...
