Such a great game. In the 1st Half, USA out-shot Italy 10-2! Donovan hit the post and shot over. But in the second it all went wrong. Del Pieri came in for Totti, providing more offence. Then later in the 50-59 minute area Del Piero scored, because of a Regis mistake!!:mad: I think Regis is not a defender, but a midfielder!!! After that Italy played all defence, with some more good chances, USA brought Wolff in for Donovan, but nothing clicked. All in all, I think it was a good game, and USA should be happy;) But a win would have been better!!! Even so, I am an Inter Milan fan!!! I saw Materazzi, Vieri, Toldo, and Cristiano Zanetti!!! All of these players played:D Well that is my match recap.

not only did the USA put up a fight but they dominated the first half to the point where the Italian fans booed thier own team. The Americans were impressive for sure..

erm yea.....but Italy won......Croatia did'nt !!

Italy were smart not to go full steam ahead.....after all u can pick up injuries,,,,and a friendly is the stupides place to get an injury.....

............so take that !:rolleyes: :)

An overall good game. I can't believe Donovan missed that kindergarden shot in the first half, but the USA played so sweetly nevertheless in the first half...

I was just so amazed how the appearance of Del Pierro broke the entire US team so thoroughly...his injection into the game raised the Italians' game to such a high level that it never looked like the US would ever shoot again.

And my God, get this Regis moron off the national team! I've seen Klinsmann dive before, but when you're a defender, you don't dive! What a moron!

Del Pierro had such a more dramatic impact, though. If he wasn't threatening to shoot, he was back in midfield winning the ball for Italy...and his sweet 1-touch passes were remarkable.

The USA are still developing, I can't see them getting past WC group stage but hey, anything can happen. Still Italy, no need to try to hard, but a win is a win.:)

Really? I think the US has learned enough from its recent 3 games with S.Korea to defeat them in Asia. The Poland match is a tough call, but I think the US defence can mark out Olisidebeh (can't spell his name); if anything, our defence (led by the goalie) is our best quality.

Portugal, I honestly think we'll lose. But once again, the top 2 teams advance.
